Stephen Smith: Alibi is one of UKTV's pay channels on Sky. There have been no announcements about Alibi or any other UKTV pay channels (i.e. Gold or W) joining either Freeview or Freesat.

Full technical details of Freeview
Sunday 16 April 2017 11:12PM

MikeB: HD Ready = 720p/1080i, Full HD = 1080p. Neither indicate the type of tuner - there are plenty of Full HD TVs with DVB-T tuners and plenty of HD Ready TVs with DVB-T2 tuners.
TVs with a DVB-T2 tuner are labelled either Freeview HD or Freeview Play for some smart models made by manufacturers who have adopted the Freeview Play smart TV platform. TVs with a DVB-T tuner will be labelled Freeview, regardless of the the resolution supported by the panel.

I fully agree that the marketing is confusing but referring to tuners by talking about screen resolution doesn't help.

Talking Pictures TV
Sunday 16 April 2017 11:16PM

Alan Cadwallender: Some of the local TV channels simulcast programs from Talking Pictures during the day, which is what you are seeing on the local channel, rather than the Talking Pictures channel itself.

Chartham (Kent, England) DAB transmitter
Monday 17 April 2017 2:49PM

Richard Adkins: To provide any specific advice we need to know where you are (please provide a postcode) so we can see which transmitter you're using and your signal strength prediction. All I can suggest right now is to check all the cables and connections behind your TV in case something has become loose/fallen out or has been damaged, then work your way as far as you can safely access towards the aerial.

Elizabeth M. Morgan: The frequencies used by Carmel are close to those used by 4G mobile broadband, so it's possible the interference is being caused by a recently upgraded phone mast nearby. There is an organisation called at800 (https://at800.tv) was was setup in order to resolve these problems on behalf of the mobile operators. If you contact them they will check if there are any 4G masts that may be causing a problem and send you out a free filter to connect to the aerial cable behind your TV.

DONALD KIRKBRIDE: No, it won't. STV2 is a local channel which will replace STV Glasgow & STV Edinburgh next week and will also launch in Aberdeen, Dundee and Ayr. The only way to watch it outside these areas is on STV's website, the STV Player app or Sky channel 117/168 in areas that have STV on 103.

See
STV2 start date and reception details announced - a516digital
for coverage details.

Mendlesham (Suffolk, England) DAB transmitter
Wednesday 19 April 2017 2:31PM

David Chambers: If it's happening at the same time each day, the most likely cause is electrical interference from something operating on a timer switch, either in your own home or a near neighbour.

Robert Slorach: Retuning was a bad idea as you've now likely deleted the channels which were tuned correctly. If you booster has failed it will block any signal getting through. To offer any meaningful advice we need a postcode to allow us to see which transmitter you're using and where you are in relation to it, along with predicted signal strength etc. Also, is the aerial on the roof or in the loft? Have you checked for loose/damaged cables and connections in places you can safely access?

Jackyt: More4 +1 is on Freeview channel 86 on the COM8 multiplex. To received this you will need a TV or box which receives HD channels and be able to receive one of the 30 transmitters which broadcast COM7 & COM8 (if you provide a postcode we can check).
