skypilot: You should just be able to plug your box in to a TV anywhere to playback previous recordings.

ian ferguson: Do you receive any HD channels on 101-105, as you need TV or set top box capable of receiving HD channels to view anything broadcast on COM7? Also, COM7 (and COM8) are broadcast at much lower power than other services which can make them more difficult to receive.

Mrs Rosemary Bashford: All the retuning you've been doing may have caused the tuning data to have become corrupted. Try unplugging the aerial and retuning to clear all the channels, then plug the aerial back in and retune again to fill the channel list. There shouldn't be any need to keep retuning unless there have been technical changes to any of the channels you watch, or you wish to add new channels which have launched.

John Mulcahy: You may be suffering with interference from a recently upgraded 4G mobile phone mast nearby. If you contact an organisation called AT800 (https://at800.tv) they can check whether this is the case and if needed send you out a free filter to connect to your aerial system which should suppress the interference if that is the cause.

Mike Rhodes: There is currently a notice on the Winter Hill transmitter page on this site warning of periods of potentially weak signal, usually due to ongoing engineering works. Unfortunately there is no indication of when this work is due to be completed.

Elliot Thomas: CBS Drama is now only available to viewers with a TV or set top box capable of receiving HD channels such as BBC Four HD (channel 106) and BBC News HD (channel 107). Also, it is carried on a multiplex called COM7 which is only broadcast from 30 main transmitters which cover around 70% of the UK population.

Nigel Ian Archer: Do you receive any HD channels on numbers 101-105? The Digital UK Trade link under your post shows that there are several possible transmitters which should be receivable at your postcode. It also shows the compass bearing of each transmitter from you, so you should be able to work out from that which transmitters you and your neighbour are each using.

Carole Hughes: Talking Pictures is not broadcast from The Wrekin transmitter, however a check on your postcode suggests that you should also be able to receive the Sutton Coldfield transmitter, which does broadcast Talking Pictures, however you may need a different aerial pointing in a different direction.

steve: Vintage TV was previously a streamed channel using your internet connection. That service closed when the broadcaster decided to launch recently as a regular channel on the COM7 multiplex, which along with COM8 is a temporary service due to close in mid 2020 and will not be added to any transmitters beyond the 30 which already broadcast COM7 & COM8.
