Below are all of StevensOnln1's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.D Shaw: There are no faults showing currently for this transmitter. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Have you checked if any neighbours have lost signal?

J Rattigan: Have you actually checked your aerial, booster or leads? Having a good signal on one mux doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have a problem with your system affecting other frequencies. A long term problem with the transmitter would be noticed by lots of people, so it's more likely to be something local to you.

T. Yardley : A number of local versions of Gold on AM were replaced by Smooth a few years ago, but I wasn't aware that it was ever broadcast of FM anywhere. It's still available on AM in London, the East Midlands and the North West, as well as on DAB in a few more areas. It's also available online at Gold - The Greatest Hits Of All Time

Mike O'Sullivan: At only 5km from the transmitter you would be better off with a wideband type such as a log periodic rather than a grouped aerial, given that the Guildford transmitter currently uses channels between 40 and 52 whereas from next year it will use channels between 31 and 47.

Sylvia: There are no reported faults with Mendip, so start by checking for loose cables or connections behind your TV. Do not attempt to retune as this will not fix a loss of signal and will just make the problem worse.

peter: The transmitter will be back on air when the problem has been fixed (planed engineering work is unlikely this week so it's most likely off due to a fault, probably weather related). Given that no one on this website has anything to do with any broadcaster or transmitter company we don't know how long it will take.

jan: Does your Freesat box connect via wifi or does it have an ethernet cable plugged in to the back?

Keith Cunliffe : Angus will eventually use UHF 39/42/45 for PSB1-3 and 33/36/48 for COM4-6 from late 2019, however there will be an intermediate change with PSB1 moving to UHF 33 temporarily in the Summer of 2019. COM7&8 will move to UHF 55/56 in late 2018. If you already get good reception of COM7 on UHF 31 then your existing aerial should be suitable for the new frequency allocations at Angus.

Gary: We don't know where you are (please provide a full postcode) however there are no reported problems with Knockmore so local interference seems a likely cause. Have you or your neighbours obtained any new electrical equipment recently, particularly anything with an electric motor?

Barry: At 4 miles away a log periodic would be ideal, even a small one such as a DM log should be fine.
