Also, no transmitter has had any reduction in the number of channels broadcast. From your other post, it sounds like you have a fault somewhere in your aerial system. You could also look at getting Freesat if you want more channels.

Carole: Apart from Aj Jazeera (which is due to appear of COM6 soon) no broadcaster has made any announcement of when any of their channels will increase their coverage. In most cases they won't, as they simply aren't prepared (or can't afford) to pay the increased costs of broadcasting their channels on a multiplex with wider coverage. If you want a numerical list of channels, Digital UK has one at the link below, which also shows which channels are on which multiplex, so you can easily see which are available from your transmitter (The Wrekin does not have COM7 & COM8 and won't gain them at any point in the future, as both a temporary services which will close in the next few years).

Carol Knights: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Which transmitter are you using? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

RUSTY: The Beacon Hill transmitter is not operating on reduced power, where did you read that, as I cannot see anything to suggest that is the case (other than for brief periods during engineering work)? Forces TV is carried on the COM8 multiplex which is no longer broadcast from Beacon Hill and won't be returning unless the channel moves to another multiplex (no such move has been announced). Also, no one on this website has any connection with any broadcaster or the transmitter company, no one here can turn the power up.

Michael Halford: We need a full postcode in order to see what the predicted coverage is at your exact location.

Andrew Benham: According to Digital UK, PSB3 is staying on UHF channel 30 at Crystal Palace, it isn't moving to 48 (there are no further frequency changes planned for Crystal Palace at all).

Andrew Benham: I see it above too, but it is clearly an error. Digital UK should be treated as the most reliable and up to date source of frequency details, rather than this or any other independent website.

Peter: Retuning is the last thing to do when you have a fault like this. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc.

Scott: No closure date has been announced for COM7 & COM8 at Black Hill, nor has anything been announced regarding what will happen to channels on those muxes (BBC Four HD, BBC News HD, etc) when they do close. If more muxes are converted to DVB-T2 (as was proposed several years ago) there will be space for all of the channels on COM7 & COM8 to move elsewhere.

Elizabeth Wright: You most likely have a fault with your aerial system, such as a loose or damaged cable or connection somewhere. Start by checking the cables behind your TV, then work your way back as far as you can safely access towards the aerial.
