Barry Sharp: The Sony channels are broadcast on the local TV multiplex and are therefore only available in areas where there is a local TV station on Freeview channel 7 or 8. As there are no local TV stations in Devon, the Sony channels are not broadcast from Stockland Hill.

BJW: Listening via the internet is probably your only real option, as you're too far away to receive it terrestrially.

David Pinkney: You'll get more channels with Freesat (how many more will depend on what you can receive via Freeview) although you won't get Channel 4 HD on Freesat (it can be tuned in manually but won't appear in the main channel guide). There is no subscription, hence the name Freesat.

Norman Hughes: Sony Channel and Sony Movies Classic are broadcast on the local TV multiplex, which is only available in areas where there is a local TV station on Freeview channel 7 or 8. There are no local TV stations in Devon or Cornwall, hence the local TV mux is not broadcast from Caradon Hill.

Mrs Humphreys: TBN has moved to the PSB3 multiplex which carries BBC 1 HD, BBC 2 HD, ITV HD, Channel 4 HD, Channel 5 HD & CBBC HD and can only be received on TVs which receive these HD channels. If your sister-in-law can receive those HD channels, she should be able to restore TBN by retuning.

Les Waldron: Frontrunner has closed, along with Showcase, which was operated by the same company (Information TV).

Emma Preston: SkyQ uses a different LNB (the receiver block on the end of the dish arm) which is not compatible with Sky+/HD or Freesat boxes (unless a hybrid LNB was installed). You will need to replace the LNB with either a standard universal or hybrid LNB to use your Sky+HD box. You'll need to return your SkyQ equipment if you are cancelling your subscription, as it is rented as part of your Sky contract and remains Sky's property.

Roger Hatherall: Sony Channel and Sony Movies Classic are broadcast on the local TV multiplex, which is broadcast from Mendip but only directionally towards Bristol and is not predicted to be available at your postcode, so you are actually doing well to get anything from it at all. Retuning will not help as you already have the channels tuned (retuning just deletes your channel list and searches for everything again, which will never fix a weak signal).
