Below are all of StevensOnln1's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.TIMOTHY WARDLAW: There have been no changes to COM7 & COM8 announced for June and they will not be moving to any other frequency as there are none available. Ofcom have previously announced that they will remain on UHF channels 55 & 56 in the centre gap of the new 700MHz mobile band until these frequencies are required by whichever mobile network secures them in the 700MHz auction, which has been delayed due to COVID-19 and may now not take place until next year.
In short, nothing is changing with COM7 & COM8 and they will simply close once their currently frequencies are no longer available, they will not move elsewhere. Some channels may move to other multiplexes, however nothing has been announced.

TIMOTHY WARDLAW: The owner of this website has not been able to keep up with the all of changes taking place at over 1,000 transmitters and doesn't seem to have found a way to show that COM7&8 will continue on those frequencies until an as yet unknown date, whereas the rest of the 700MHz band was due to be cleared by the end of May (although the final clearance work is now on hold due to COVID-19).

David: Do you have a clear view of the sky to the south/south east? If so, consider getting Freesat, which will give most of the channels available on Freeview as well as various others via free to air satellite (i.e. a one-off cost for the dish, cabling and receiver, with no ongoing subscription cost).

Nicholas Anderson: Most of the programming on BBC3 is targeted at young adults, so how relevant is it to provide access to elderly viewers? I think this stereotype that elderly people can't use modern technology is often incorrect. I run a business which has a lot of elderly customers, many of whom use smartphones and tablets on a daily basis and have cable or fibre based broadband in their homes. It depends on the mindset of each individual, but there are many out there who, with some help, are willing to learn and use newer technology when they see how it can benefit them.

Geoffrey Date: I'm assuming you mean the All 4 catchup service, which has on demand programming from Channel 4's various channels (iPlayer is the BBC's catchup service). I've never watched any films on All 4, however you can certainly pause and fast forward/rewind on all their other programmes so I would expect that to be available on films too.

Terry: From entering the postcode you've given on the Freeview coverage checker, scrolling down and selecting the Detailed View option, it would appear that 3 different relays should provide a good service at your location, however you will only be able to receive the PSB channels (and some of their offshoots), as none of those transmitters broadcast any of the COM multiplexes. Those transmitters are:
Ladder Hill 3km away at a compass bearing of of 162 degrees from your location
Chinley 2km at 74 degrees
Whaley Bridge 1km at 220 degrees

Jock: You need a Sky box to receive subscription channels. A Sky viewing card is required to decrypt non-FTA channels, which will only work in a Sky box. I believe it is possible to obtain a standalone subscription card from Sky if you source your own used/reconditioned Sky+HD box (plenty available on eBay etc) but I have no idea what the minimum contract term would be. Now TV (https://www.nowtv.com) might be worth looking at - 8.99 per month for a selection of entertainment channels, however you would need to get some sort of broadband connection (either via fixed line or 4G/5G).

Mrs Marie Edwards: You need to send your complaint to the channel, this is not their website and no one here can do anything about it.

Gail Hunter: There are numerous transmitters in Central Scotland, which one are you receiving and where are you in relation to it? Please provide a full postcode.

Ceanach O'CRUDACH : Do you have any figures showing how much the BBC gets paid for product placement? Any source to back up what your are claiming?
