MikeP: It's already been widely reported that the local mux for Reading is on C29, with plenty of people complaining about the interference caused by the significant overlap of the London local mux on the same frequency. It does seem a strange choice for the same frequency to be allocated on two transmitters which have such significant overlap (Crystal Palace provides good coverage across much of Reading including good reception of the local mux, at least until the Reading local mux started).

Alan Burnham: Please provide a full postcode so we can see which transmitter you're using and where you are in relation to it. However some general advice based on your post is that you probably have too much signal which is overloading the tuner in your Youview box. This can be reduced by fitting an attenuator (see link below) which connects to the incoming aerial cable and reduces the level of signal being received. It may be worth getting 3dB, 6dB and 9dB attenuators which can be connected together if required to reduce the signal further if one on its own isn't enough.

Matthew Thomas: BBC4 HD and BT Sport Showcase HD are broadcast on the COM7 & COM8 multiplexes, which are both temporary services operating from 30 main transmitters covering around 75% of households. None of these transmitters cover your postcode and there won't be any expansion of coverage as COM7 & COM8 are due to close in 2020.

Claudio: BT Sport Showcase HD is available from the Sandy Heath transmitter which is predicted to provide good signal at your location. Do you have any HD channels on 101-105? If you don't then your TV probably doesn't have a DVB-T2 tuner which is required for receive Freeview HD channels.

Richard: BT Sport Showcase HD is not broadcast from the Kilvey Hill transmitter which covers the postcode you've provided. It won't be added in future as it isn't one of the 30 transmitters which carry the temporary COM7 & COM8 services which cover around 75% of households and are due to close in 2020.

gregor pirrie: What is the signal strength on the BBC channels? You could try an attenuator (see link below) which plugs between the aerial and TV to reduce the signal strength, try 3dB and 6dB attenuators (you can plug them together to give 9dB of attenuation if needed).

Jess Wildman: As per MikeP's post above yours, this isn't Starz TV's website and we can't get your request played.

Andy: Please provide a full postcode so we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and predicted signal strength etc. Have you checked behind your TV for any loose or damaged cables or connections? If the problem is happening in bad weather it could be that water is getting in somewhere.

sandra lawrence: According to the transmitter engineering notice which has appeared below your post, the transmitter is now back on air.
