Heathfield (East Sussex, England) transmitter
Thursday 9 October 2025 11:08AM

john slater: Unfortunately, Arqiva (the company who own and operate the transmitters) don't give details of what sort of engineering work is taking place or when it is expected to be finished.

The Heathfield transmitter is 7km away from you on a compass bearing of 101 degrees, so you should be receiving a strong signal.

jimmy: Your postcode is not used to tune your TV or box, it scans and saves the tuning data for whichever transmitters it finds. Your postcode is only used to provide a prediction of what might be able to be received at your location and is not always accurate due to trees, buildings, terrain and other obstructions which the prediction software may not always be aware of.

nick: Which model of Freesat box do you have? Most satellite receivers are generally designed to be left in low power standby mode overnight rather than being switched off at the mains, so that could have a bearing on the channels not updating correctly.
