Hi Sab / Keith,

There is a known issue with some Bush HD freesat boxes which are unable to cope with DVB-S2 transmissions (which is the format used by the BBC & Chan 4), as DVB-S2 is part of the freesat spec the boxes are unfit for the purpose they sold for. You should return the box to the retailer (even out of g'tee) for replacement or refund if they refuse contact trading standards.

Hi millie,

You need to contact cbbc at the bbc, their website is found at,

BBC - CBBC - Home: Play free games, watch cool clips and loads more fun from Children's BBC!

Its a very good website, I hope you enjoy visiting it.

Hi David,

The differance is that the freesat spec includes dvbs2 & if as in this case the hardware is not capable & cannot be upgraded by software then the box is not fit for the job & should be swapped out, alba group have already had to do this because some early hd boxes could not access I-Player & lg had to give Humax freesat hd boxes out because their tv's could not access i-player.
Unfortunatly the retailer is responsable in law & he has to seek backup from his supplier. No I have not had to refund any of my customers because I dont sell these boxes,as there is no margin on them & too many issues, dont get me wrong the boxes are good value & very impressive for the price but when things are so cheap corners have to be cut & from time to time issues will arise.
The panasonic issue is a more difficult one as it is a premium priced product which raises your expectations but they have taken their time to bring a expected upgrade to market, They have not done their brand or their affected customers any favours, Its
difficult to guage what is a reasonable time to keep customers waiting & at what point it could be called unfit for the job, its also clouded by the fact they have provided upgrades for other models also without any great rush. I work with some panasonic dealers who are not happy with this situation souring cutomer relations during a difficult trading period.

Hi Ruth,

Get a friend in Scotland to get a slingbox hd pro & set it up at their home for you, then you can watch any freeview channel anywhere in the world by logging into slingbox on your computer or if you want to watch it on a tv you can buy a slingcatcher & set it up in your home in aus, it will log into the slingbox hd pro at your friends house in scotland & show it on your tv in aus.

Hi Brian,

Am I correct in thinking that the Digital Divide is about to get much wider & those that are on "Freeview Lite" will miss out on any extra channels.
I cant see this going down very well in the valleys and other rural area's.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the quick reply, We will keep our fingers crossed (but it would be too risky to hold our breath !)

Hi Brian,

I'm probably going to annoy some by saying this but while I find 3D a interesting & clever gimmick but I cannot use it for more than 15 mins without feeling sick or getting a headache, It looks very artificial or "processed" to me & I also don't like having to wear glasses to "enjoy" it. until it has vastly improved, I regard it a bit of a waste of bandwith. I would far rather see more or higher quality HD transmissions which I regard as a far more genuine leap forward in quality & a much better use of precious bandwith (especially on dtt)

Hi all,

This reduction of service was forced on the bbc by the bbc trust who are under constant pressure from some those that abuse their expenses & those that hack everyones phones who all hate the bbc & do everything to undermine them that they can. Thankfully this site hasnt suffered from the constant bbc bashing trolls like some others have.

Hi Tony Quayle,

You must be using a fta reciever & not a genuine freesat or sky one that update automatic, You need to do a retune to get these channels back.
