Below are all of Nick's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.I still can't get Pick, ITV 4, Challenge etc. Thought they had upped the power when Dover went digital.

I have retuned my boxes and now have the weak channels I lacked, except that one box, my main one which is also my pvr, will not get Challenge. It goes to channel 47 directly after ch 42, then jumps again to channel 70. Any ideas please?

Help please.
Here at Aldeburgh, where we used to occasionally get Challenge, Pick and Yesterday on their very low power, and ITV 3 on 14 kw, now, since 24 June, we have lost numerous channels. No change of high gain aerial, but now only 21 tv channels. I find channels on the mux on ch 41, and 44, but nothing else, although it hovers on 56 but finds nothing. As regards channels on the box itself, we skip from 9 to 13, 14, then to 28, then 33, then blank to 70. I cannot understand how a change to better channels for various muxes, and high power, has resulted in this terrible outcome.

Thanks Dave, but am still mystified that higher power has done so much damage. I have actually tried my box in two houses and therefore different aerials, results identical. I assume the frequencies/power really have been changed and that the table above our comments is out of date. Even stranger is that 10 miles south of Aldeburgh I had a big aerial on Dover analogue, to save getting a box. At Dover switchover, rather than take the aerial down and go onto Sudbury, I wondered if I could get digital from Dover, well out of range. I get the lot!. [at present.] I would be interested to know if others have this problem with Sudbury, even lost ITV 3.

Thanks to all who are trying to help, but before they messed about on June 27, ITV 3 was always good at 14kw, now not at all, and those weak ones on C63 even came in occasionally. Now, with high power, all has gone to pot. I can't see how those other distant transmitters can somehow now be blamed. Please confirm that all muxes are now on 100kw, contrary to what the table on this page shows.

Thanks Mark,
I was actually talking about two different locations, Aldeburgh can't get Dover, but can 10 miles south, so it is not my solution.
I am quite pleased to see Ben has similar problems.
I guess if Sudbury plays up, I had better try Tacolneston, but so difficult to align the aerial to Sud or Tac when the Aldeburgh 'light' tx wants to log itself on.

Thanks Dave,
I think perhaps I will hang on a bit and see what happens. Yes, I used to get ITV 3 fine on 14kw, now gone, and occasionally Challenge and Pick on 3kw, now also gone. I think they must be playing about with the xmitter. I noted a viewer in Clacton was only getting the muxes on ch 41 and 44, which is all I get now. I have tried my box at two locations in Aldeburgh with good aerials, same result. I reckon if people have to go through all the contortions you suggest to get all channels, those who devised this system should be strung up! Thanks for all your info.

Can anyone tell me why we have this page for questions on Sudbury? It is confusing as we already have one called freeview from Sudbury transmitter.
