Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice

Could it be your Panasonic PVR (or some other box) that has a modulator in (thus sending out a signal on an RF channel)?

If one device works, then I would be inclined to take the others to the same aerial outlet and connect them up and see if they will pick up the same channels. When doing so, I wouldn't have it looped through the PVR, just incase it is this that is causing the problem. (DN31NJ)

Sudbury Arqiva multiplex B changes 16 November - retune require
Wednesday 16 November 2011 12:09PM
Doncaster

Russ: The reason ArqB stopped for you is definately because its frequency was changed then (as explained at the top of this page).

If I were you, I would try manually tuning to Ch63 (if it will let you do it).

If you cannot get it, then it might be that you had a marginal signal before. That is, before it was "only just" strong enough for you to pick it up.

It will not be raised to full transmission power until 27th June 2012.

Delenn: There was no power increase, just a channel change. It will not be increased in power until 27th June 2012 (when there will be another change of UHF channel/frequency).

Adrian Pease: Try doing this:

My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice

If it doesn't work, I'd try adding the missing channels manually (if your receiver will let you do it). If you would like some help with it, post the make and model number of the device. (DN31NJ)

Frances Hornor: Yes, the BBC digital channels have changed frequency. BBC2 analogue signal has been switched off for good.

Hollzjw: At your distance you shouldn't have an issue picking up ArqB.

Try carrying out the procedure outlined here:

Digital UK has published an industry update here:

http://www.digitaluk.co.u….pdf

It states "Arqiva B, still at low-power , moves to a temporary parking channel to release its previous one for use at Tacolneston". It doesn't say whether the "low-power" is higher than the previous low power.

However, the Ofcom information is more helpful and confirm's what Delenn says:
http://stakeholders.ofcom….pdf

Footnote for Sudbury COMs "Arqiva B will remain on its pre-switchover channel (50+) until late 2011, and then temporarily move to channel 63 (at 2.2kW ERP), before adopting its final allocation of channel 56 during mid-2012."

Perhaps one of the pros could shed some light on this. (DN31NJ)

To those with issues picking up ArqB from Sudbury (who received it prior to 16th) try carrying out the procedure outlined here:

This page suggests that some receivers "remember" what muxes they'd tuned to previously. This could explain why they don't "see" ArqB from Sudbury on C63 because they have it down as being on C50. (DN31NJ)
