Charles Stuart: The only suggestion I can make is:

Freeview signals: too much of a good thing is bad for you | Digital switchover | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice

Not sure about local TV. Maybe when the powers that be make up their minds and stick with it for long enough to get off the ground...

Paul Blackman: 800MHz 4G cannot have any effect at your location.

Stuart: Try a manual tune on UHF channel 49 (for BBC standard definition services). Before pressing the button to scan (having entered/selected C49) wait and see if it gives an indication of strength/quality (you may have to give it 5 or 10 seconds to settle).

Stuart: Where abouts are you? Perhaps there is another transmitter on C49 that is interfering.

Tony Ellis: Have you lost these channels following a retune today? Or have you lost them because you've moved to this address?

If your communal aerial points to Mendip then try a manual tune on C48 for 5*, 5USA etc and C52 for Film4 etc.

Pat: If there's a manual tune function on your TV then tune to UHF channel 49 for BBC programmes.

Stuart: Another transmitter isn't a possibility in Devizes. Not sure what else to suggest other than to check that there isn't another device inline with the aerial lead that is on C49 or nearby, e.g. Sky box, PlayStation etc.

Bryn Stephens: As I say, I think you will have to wait until 22 May when PSB1 from Penderyn moves from C49 to C39.

Until then, if you want to watch the BBC you may have to either adjust your rooftop aerial to face Penderyn or else use a set-top aerial on Penderyn.
