Terrain between ( m a.g.l.) and (antenna m a.g.l.) - Optimising UK DTT Freeview and Radio aerial location Also judging by that plot, I suggest that the only likely obstructions could be trees and buildings within several hundred metres of your property. So, has a tree grown, or building gone up or been modified in the time your difficulties started? (Obviously we're talking about possible obstructions in the general direction of the transmitter.

richard alford: The first thing to check is that your receiver (TV and/or box) is tuned to the transmitter to which your aerial faces. The most likely possibility is that it is tuned correctly for BBC and not for others.
Bring up the signal strength screen on the following and observe the tuned UHF channel:
BBC One | Salisbury=C57 | Rowridge=C24
ITV | Salisbury=C60 | Rowridge=C27
BBC One HD | Salisbury=C53 | Rowridge=C21
ITV3 | Salisbury=C50 | Rowridge=C25
Pick | Salisbury=C59 | Rowridge=C22
4Music | Salisbury=C55 | Rowridge=C28
If it turns out that some are tuned to the wrong transmitter then you should be able to correct this by either running the scan through with the aerial unplugged (so as to blank what's stored) and then manually tuning the required channels, or; run the automatic tuning scan through with the aerial unplugged for the part of the scan which the unwanted transmitter broadcasts [you will note that Rowridge's channels are low (in the 20s) and Salibury's are high (50s and 60)].

Jenny Milborrow: It doesn't say that there is no problem with the transmitter, but rather says there are no faults reported.

paul edwards: Maybe you have a Group C/D aerial which works best on the higher channels. Or do you have a second aerial on a Welsh transmitter? Aerials, TV Aerial and Digital Aerial

margaret: No. The best you can hope for (as far as receiving it over-the-air) is on 95.9MHz FM from High Hunsley, on the Yorkshire Wolds.

Noel Bristow: Where's your aerial pointing (which direction/transmitter) and is it vertical or horizontal?

Noel Bristow: 288 degrees vertical (elements up/down) is the Dawlish transmitter which doesn't carry ITV3, ITV4, Pick, Dave, 4Music and others. 214 degrees horizontal (elements flat) is Beacon Hill whose ITV3 is on C42, as Michael says. However, you will probably be pushing your luck to get it reliably due to the terrain:

Michael Rhodes: Go to the map above and click "HD-com7 (h)" and you will see that there is a null in the direction of Southport and Formby down to just north of Crosby. I'm not sure why that might be as there appear to be no other transmitters in that direction on C31.
I suggest that it is either because of possible interference with Ireland, or (more likely) the antenna array has a null in it. The antennas used by the 30 transmitters which carry COM7 are ones that were already in existance from pre-switchover, this being to keep the costs of COM7 and COM8 down. I seem to recall that one of the experts on here said that Winter Hill's COM7/8 antenna array was previously used in Croydon - perhaps the null from Winter Hill faces the least population so that the null affects the least number of people. If you're lucky you might be able to receive COM 7 (and 8 when it comes on air) from Moel-y-Parc - a C37 diplexer will allow you to combine two aerials and watch all programmes from Winter Hill plus MyP's COM7 and COM8 on 32 and 34 respectively.

K Watterton: Check the 2000T is tuned to C31 for Winter Hill rather than C32 for Moel-y-Parc.

Dave Laurie: Whereabouts are you?
The COM channels (*not* BBC, ITV1, ITV2 C4 etc which are "PSB") are on lower power. Could you be somewhere where you are getting interference? It is the case that some viewers will only get the Redruth PSBs reliably.
Your location, preferably in the form of postcode or nearby postcode such as a shop will allow reception expectations to be checked.
