Below are all of N.J. Anderson's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.I wonder if it is the intention of Ofcom and Freeview to eventually fill in all the available numbered digital channels with available services and over what period of time before the digital TV services are completely full?

Will "That's Solent" TV be starting on October 22nd or December 22nd 2014? There appears to be a conflict of information. Please clarify.

In their application for a franchise "That's Solent TV" stated that they would provide seperate news bulletins for Southampton and Winchester, the Isle of Wight, and Portsmouth. Does this mean that the seperate bulletins would be broadcast to the whole area covered at separate times or will they be broadcast simultaneously using a "red button" as is the case with the BBC?

It is essential for London Live to remain on air in spite of it's current financial difficulties as it's the mainstay of local T.V. within the U.K. and if it goes the future of the rest of local T.V. within the U.K. looks very shaky.

I very much hope that That's Solent TV will encourage and accept local material both current and historic and that it will be a showcase for local film producers, both amateur and professional. and that it will cover all aspects of the local music scene and all types of music including jazz, classical, blues and country music.

That's Solent TV, although already started part time only in evenings up until midnight, and not broadcasting full time until just before christmas or the new year (not sure which) are missing a huge promotion opportunity by not running future program trailers. They are in stark contrast to London Live which launched with a fanfare back in March and they seem to be lacking in any kind of audience interaction.

Along with the new "That's Solent" on Channel 8 I also cannot receive QVC Extra on Channel 57 and "Pop" on Channel 125 on my unamplified wideband loft aerial. Cannot the power of this multiplex be slightly increased so as to rectify this problem in my area in Portsmouth?

Since "That's Solent" have been on air (26/11/14) on a part time basis they seem to be broadcasting what can only be described as rehearsals for going on air as they have been plagued with technical problems with no correspondence between the guide and actuality. There was absolutely no live output over the christmas break intermitting between the Jewellery Channel and a misleading test card. If they are to have any chance of success they really have to "get their act together" soon because at the moment they are almost a waste of airspace and to quote a well known phrase "you couldn't make it up".

Is it not possible to transmit channel 29 freeview which includes QVC Extra, Pop TV and the local That's Solent from Rowridge vertically to enable those with a vertically pollarised antenna to receive these three services?

Do all the current and future local TV broadcasters cover the same area from the transmitter site they use as all the other stations on the multiplex?
