mark hawes: Like any other DVB-T device, you just rescan. No software upgrades will make it work with the DVB-T2 Freeview HD transmissions.

Ash: As above, they are from Ofcom, provided to them by NGW, now part of Arqiva.

The transmission companies employ a "standard model" which they use, it it isn't a package you can buy.

You can always write your own, as I have done.

Andy: OK, three points:

1. There is no work going on the Hannington transmitter.

2. You are not predicted to get a Freeview service from Hannington until switchover in 2012.

3. Your best service for Freeview before switchover is the Crystal Palace transmitter

Jim Corbett: The process starts at midnight and can take six to eight hours, depending on the transmitter.

The digital services continue to broadcast on the same frequencies until the final date, with the exception of PSB1 which broadcasts on the new frequency.
