Paul: Sorry. The PSB multiplexes are 2kW, the COM multiplexes 1kW. That's an "average" of 1.5kW.

The changes happen between midnight and 6am on the 17th.

Geoff Coupe: The BBC HD channels switch on frame-by-frame basis between 1080i and 1080p automatically depending on the source material.

The "simulcast" HD channels (ie, not BBC HD) all upscale the SD content when there is no HD, but you can clearly see improvements with SD material - in particular you get much less "motion blur".

Mike Dimmick: I've removed the reference to the average power, you are correct, it adds nothing. It was part of the simulation system before I added in the detailed "Comparison of analogue and digital signal levels" section to each page.
