Peter Henderson: Yes, that is correct. There is no provision for the automatic roll over of the existing local TV licences to the digital service.

Matt: I did try that, it wasn't very clear at all.

I think what I will have to do is to reduce the level of opacity when there are large number of services, such as the 13 here.

Ziggy: OK, you should have a perfect service now and into the future from Waltham.

I would start by looking at the Freeview reception has changed? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice page for suggestions.

helen: Wind turbines would only effect your reception if they were directly between you and the transmitter.

Can you see Freeview reception has changed? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice ?

I note the official Digital UK predictions say you can't get Freeview, but, as you say you did have the service in the past.

There is always Freesat - Compare Freeview Light and Freesat TV | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Steve P: I think it's a "don't", but that's what I meant.

I think you're not in the "intended target area" for what is clearly a Liverpool service.

It might be possible to link together a second channel on the Liverpool mux with (there is room for two) with proposed "Mold", " Limavady" and "Bangor" services to provide a larger service area that might actually have enough population to be viable.

Tracy: Actuallly at *all* Full Freeview transmitters, multiplex 1 is replaced with BBCA on a different frequency, it is always necessary to retune on DSO1 unless you don't watch BBC1, 2, 3, News or CBBC.

The BBCA multiplex is always on the old BBC TWO analogue frequency, except where is isn't, where it's one of the other three channels (ITV, BBC One, C4) becomes BBCA at switchover and that channel swaps to the BBC TWO analogue frequency until DSO2.

Gareth: Yes, that is correct they are overkill, but before switchover Wenvoe only broadcast most of the multiplexes at 5kW - compared to today's 100kW/50kW. It is likely that people went for the larger aerials back when the signal was weak.

Steve P: What matters is where an interleaved frequency can be found.
