Trevor Harris: I was referencing to the independent research provided to Ofcom (and the Leveson Enquiry) that showed the BBC was the most trusted supplier of news - http://stakeholders.ofcom….pdf . See in particular "Figure 5: Single source turned to for impartial and accurate coverage" and "Figure 6: range of perspectives shown by different sources of news".

It is always important to not conflate your own personal opinion with impartial research, of course.

In response to your other point, I believe that BBC experiments with science | News | C21Media is intended to address it.

Mr P.Slater: It is also worth noting there are no digital services from Patcham until 7th/21st March 2012.

Peter Henderson: Yes, ooking at Coverage Map | SAORVIEW it does show "CLERMONT CARN Channel: 53, changing to 52 at Oct 2012 Polarization: V".

I was thinking that there was more than one multiplex for Saorview, but actually it's just the one at the moment, I suppose once the analogue services are turned off then there might be more multiplexes?

GerryCW: I've jist tried listening on 92.3MHz and I can confirm that you can't hear the service for the clicking noise.

Looking at the BBC weather site, BBC Weather : Hove the pressure chart shows a High Pressure over the European continent, and this is consistent with the explanation the BBC provided.

Mike Barrett: Loft aerials are often a problem for reliable reception - but please see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

I note you can receive signals from Ridge Hill, Mendip, Malvern, Sutton Coldfield, The Wrekin and Bromsgrove, so you should be able to get a signal for the ArqB multiplex.

buontempo: Basically... not really. From 13th June 2012 you will get good reception of the three PSB multiplexes ("Freeview Light") from the Bexhill.

However, I would suggest you go for Freesat - you will get more channels on the service and you can get all the Freesat services today.

See Compare Freeview Light and Freesat TV | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice for the channels.

Dave: Generally speaking, over the last decade most people in Brighton and Hove have moved to using the Whitehawk Hill transmitter, as the Rowridge digital signals were too weak (unlike analogue) and the rest of the relays at Portslade, Hangleton, Patcham, Coldean, Bevendean, Brighton (Central), Ovingdean and Saltdean did not have Freeview.

The intention at switchover is that all homes will continue to receive the public service transmissions without any need to change the aerial, only by fitting a Freeview box to the set.

However, some homes will choose to get a new aerial to get the extended Full Freeview service where this is an option.

In all my years of living in Brighton, I have never seen a set tuned to the Brighton (Central) transmitter!
