Government to stop Sky charging public service broadcasters forSaturday 3 August 2013 9:57AM

I think thats terrible that SKY charges BBC and ITV to be on the tv guide.... i say to people get rid of sky just have freesat, cable or freeview.. I had sky in the past when the whole package was 25 pounds a month.. i was happy with that... now its around 80 pounds inc hd channels... its just not worth it.... i refuse to pay murdoch empire for my tv shows..

I can understand why people get annoyed over re-tuning... but surely by now freeview,tv's or boxes should be able to re tune themselves.. but thats not allways a good idea.. I have a goodmans box that BBC gave me for free due to my deafness. It has a habit retuning London TV which is very poor due to New reading train station building having alot of metal work round it!. so am stuck with Oxford... signal is ok but like anytime it has its ups and downs.

Hi there today this morning apart from BBC channels all others come up no signal! its very heavy fog here this morning... its weather conditions nothing any one can do... if anyone else experience this don't re tune or play with your tv aerial just wait for weather conditions to change. least with the old anolouge tv just get lines but still get a picture and sound....

BBC have always sold tv shows abroad, now they have subscription BBC in USA and Australia. and other parts of the world... and what revenue they get from that? ITV sold their tv shows aboard too... ok they have to make money out of it.. fair enough.. But Why should we carry on paying TV licence for? there are hundreds of channels via satellite and 80 odd on freeview... Make BBC as a subscription service then people can make up their own mind to view BBC or not... this is an fairer way of doing it.

RE Radio via satellite or freeview box... You can connect it to a Hi-Fi or cinema amplifier and select the radio station you want then turn TV off... that's what i do. The reason i do this is DAB and FM is pretty poor in my area. also i am deaf i like better sound via my Hi Fi speakers.
