This transmitter has no current reported problems

The BBC and Digital UK report there are no faults or engineering work on the Cave Wold (East Riding of Yorkshire, England) transmitter.

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

I live kilham in east yorkshire and we cannot get any signals this morning nor can we get most TV channels. What is going wrong with these services. This is the worst it has been and it usually is pretty poor anyway.

Why is it that the DAB coverage in East Yorkshire is so lacking. I am going back to FM.

For the last few days (26/10/2015 onwards) the transmitting power from the Cave Wold site the transmitter seems to be varing in signal strength, on the Dab side on all my house radios and the car radio when stationary, i presume they are having problems at the Cave Wold site, the VHF from this site is all ok, it is just the Dab side, and it is on all the Dab stations transmitted into this area from this transmitter.
But the transmitter coming into our area from North Lincolnshire is all ok.
Hope i get a reply.

Why is the Hull City football commentary 5 seconds behind the action? Is there a deliberate lag introduced ? Why?
This never happened with the Humberside commentary.
For those of us. Partially sighted people it is a real problem. I attend the match but hear what happened a few seconds after the action. This is really confusing - it never was the case before Viking took over!!

Steve: ,i'm not sure if the sound is delayed but some tvs in their menu, can adjust any time delay or possibly this feature has been omitted,i notice from oxford there is difference between fm and freeview radio,it depends on how the station gets its incoming signal,in previous times, channels 70-81 were used, but these days, its fibre optics, possibly satellite, possibly a fault on daisy chained transmitters if the area has a lot of relays,,i notice the bbc gets touchy on how the network is fed if enquiries are made, possibly the ways things are these day, sometimes i believe to stop bad language,n..................

For the last few days, there have been no stations available on DAB from Cave. Why is this not reported?

Tony B:

A postcode would have helped but no worries! AFAIK there are no longer any broadcast transmissions from Cave Wold, they're all now at High Hunsley. Neither the BBC nor Digital Radio are reporting any current faults.
Cave Wold seems to be purely a BT site now.

If you are using an external aerial, I'd check all you connections, other than that, it could be a fault with your radio?
