Hi Steve, not at all with horizontal apart from when conditions are slightly 'lifty'. However I have noticed that a property I visit in Worthing town centre where vertical on IOW is used, interference from Brighton is quite apparent. I understand from an aerial installer that Rowridge has gone vertical and very high power in the attempt to overcome inteference from France.

I have recently purchased a Sky plus box and have had a second cable fitted to a new receiver by a aerial fitter.Whilst he received a picture on his machine he could not on my television but could on my old one cable Sky Box.I have had a new Sky card from BT so that I can get their sports channel but as of yet still not have been able to watch any sports action.Do I need a Password/

How can we adjust our satellite dish to receive signals from 2A instead of the 2D satellite so that we can at least receive Channel 4?

My disabled son lives in a home between Garston and Abbots Langley in Hertfordshire and we are not able to recieve London Live on Freeview. Is there a reason for this please. Thank you.

John Smith: Put his postcode into the top right corner of this site, and then click on "DigitalUK tradeview" when the 6 boxes come up in the top right - you'll see if he's predicted to get the "L-LON" mux or not.
If he is predicted to get it, it could be that he has an aerial pointed at the Hemel Hempstead transmitter just north of him, which is obviously the opposite direction from Crystal Palace. And even if he did turn the aerial, it may be a group B aerial and not able to pick up a good enough signal on UHF channel 29.
I think the London Live website has a live stream on it, see if he can access that.

Tony Jarvis According to the Lyngsat website Channel 4 HD is on Astra 2F on 11126MHz and the regional variations of Channel 4 SD are on Astra 2E on 10714 MHz. I can confirm that I get both the HD channel and the London SD channel on my receiver on these frequencies without moving the dish as you would expect as both satellites are at 28.2° East.

irene davison: If you click on the links next to your question, you can see for yourself. The DigitalUK website reckons your OK with a normal aerial, but the home to mast plot does show some hills very close to you.
Indoor aerials are not generally very good, but you could have a go - put the aerial as high as you can, and buy something which isn't too expensive.
