Yes of course I have checked the connections. As I said it is mostly at night but not entirely so. It ranges mostly from 21.00 hours to 09.00 hours. There are no new electrical devices or motors. As stated this only started about 2 or maybe 3 weeks ago. And it cannot be the aerial otherwise it would be 24 hours a day. We have had the picture and sound completely disappear for upto 2 hours. I am watching now without problems 11.30hrs. When we had Comtel years ago and it would go off at the same time every night for 5 mins and back on then I was told it was my equipment and not theirs. In the end after much searching and arguing they found THEY had a timer that was cutting in and out at the times mentioned. So please forgive me if I don't always hold to "it must be your equipment" statements. I had no trouble last night. When I do it is on every tv in the house not just 1. I have sky boxes that are on timers but they are both on at the moment and in record mode without any problems to the freeview pictures etc.
ST16 1PN is our postcode

I live in the lower part of N.Yorks, between Settle and Skipton. The TV signals for this area come from Winter Hill. Trouble is the picture often pixilates and freezes for a couple of seconds. I have a booster on the aerial. Is the problem because of my location or my equipment?
Also, Welsh TV channels are the first to be picked up. When I checked what transmitter I was on, it stated, a Welsh one. So maybe we are not getting signals from Winter Hill.

Ron Eccles: Put your postcode into the website - it will bring up a lot of links which will give location of transmitters, terrain, etc.
As you say, you might have locked on to the wrong transmitter anyway
A booster can screw up your signal if its too strong - you might not need one at all.

Will the Kent TV channel be broadcast from Dover soon? It's such a shame those of us in East Kent are unable to get this channel as I have been told there are some great programmes on there.

Manda: KMTV is broadcast under a local TV licence covering Maidstone and Tunbridge. There have been no plans announced to broadcast to any other areas.

You have totally misunderstood the point of this website. It is NOT aimed at selling anything at all. Rather it is intended to assist viewers who are having reception problems with Freeview and/or Freesat channels. It is not trying to sell anything to anybody.

Would you be able to confirm that we, who receive signals from both Chrystal Palace and Guildford (Hogs Back) with be able to tune into Freesport in the near future. I have tried to find this information elsewhere but thought I would ask an expert.

Chris Warner: Freesports is available from Crystal Palace, although putting the postcode from one of your previous posts into the Digital UK trade checker shows that COM8 is predicted to be weak at your location. It is not broadcast from the Guildford transmitter.

Briantist:
Please can you urgently take a good look at what is happening on your website. Firstly, and most annoyingly, there are a number of 'people' posting totally inappropriate junk on several pages, especially on those for Winter Hill and ITV, but there are many on other pages. These all need to be removed as some are of objectionable nature and all arw inappropriate.
Secondly, please can you update the individual transmitter pages to reflect the recent changes as it appears to be confusing people. I know there are more changes due, and that the Digital UK website (http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/) gives the details, but it seems that few people bother to provide a full post code so don't get to see that information.
Thanks for the website, I still like to contribute and help the many non-technical viewers who are having reception problems, etc.

Briantist:
I endorse MikeP's comments and thank you again for the website which has clearly been invaluable for many.
There have been some very recent gibberish/irrelevant posts (16 to 25 April) on the Winter Hill page to mention just a few that I checked back on. I suspect some poor previous poster here has had their computer hacked and picked up a virus that's now posting on this site.
Could I please also refer you back to my post on this board Sunday 5 March 2017 9:04AM, if you could possible sort that out. The last post before I changed my email address was on the board stated at 4:14 PM Monday, 11 May 2015.
Many thanks, Chris.
