Teodora: If you are able to clear out the channel list, rescan and find the channels, but are unable to have them shown by the receiver may indicate a fault with the receiver.

To one and all and Briantist!
I asked this question you must have been busy. You may recall I purchased a SKY+ box with "mods"?
I still have not installed the new LNB I need to enable full functionality (though it does have a record and pause live TV function).
The problem is the cable I purchased (an "F Plug to F Plug") will not fit through the hole in the brick wall that the existing cable does UNLESS I remove the connectors and then reattach it.... it sounds like a simple job to me but how the hell do I do it?

I'm getting the progress/time bar as well as info relating to whatever is currently being shown on that particular(Rai) channel but no picture! Message reads 'this channel may be scrambled or unavailable' I do get the majority of other Hotbird Channels (as far as I can remember)and also get Rai News! Do you really think it's a problem with the receiver? How about transponder settings or sat realignment issues? I'm absolutely out of my depth so probably not these issues at all :-(

Jason - You will either have to unscrew them or if Crimped, cut them off. See this website for refitting:-

It still seems such a pain though. I have to buy a new LNB install it and even then I am not entirely sure a second cable will fit through the whole even without the connector. I know this is all simple to a professional but to me it is something I can barely be bothered with (which is why I still haven't done it THREE months after buying that Sky+ Digibox! Is there anyone out there local to me (East London) who would be interested in upgrading my Sky dish to Sky+ and how much would the want ?

I have freeview built in TV, Panasonic TX-26LXD60. After auto setup I have found that the following channel groups are missing, CH68, CH51 & CH29. Frustratingingly the TV does not seem to offer a manual tune on the DVB setup. The aerial strength and test on text 284 is good so is it just that the aerial may need repositioning. Any guidance on helping resolve this would be great, many thanks

Someone was saying I need a "meter finder" to make sure I put the LNB in correctly and find the maximum signal is that right ? If so I really think I should hire a professional because this is getting too much...

Jason: It's not that hard, really. You just need something like this - Buy Satellite Signal Finder Kit at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Freesat accessories.
