Arqiva statements on Sandy Heath and Nottingham
From Arqiva's press office:
Arqiva confirms that the Digital Switch Over process for the Sandy Heath transmitter group, serving Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, has been completed successfully.
The three public-service multiplexes are being transmitted at high power from the main station at Sandy Heath and, for the first time, from three dependent relays at Dallington Park, Kimpton and Luton. The non-PSB multiplexes at Sandy Heath will move to their final post-DSO powers, channels and transmission modes at later dates.
Following switch-off of the BBC Two analogue signal on 30 March, the remaining analogue signals for BBC One, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 ceased by 00:01 on Wednesday 13 April. The new digital signals entered official service at Sandy Heath at 05:50, with the relays completed by 08:38.

Its been a strange time for me as though I receive my signal from Belmont(Look North) I had an online message saying I should rescan to get the BBC Red Button and my Panasonic Freeview recorder stated there were new channels available and the scan reported it had found over 90 new channels.
Today it again reported new channels were available and this time I kept a watch on the scan and noted that while some channels were found with the maximum 10 strength, 30,48,66,68,60 and 57 some were shown with only 1 and I noted one was 45 so I am wondering if I am picking up another region.
Thanks

John: Nothing odd at all. The 301 channel has moved from Multiplex B to Multiplex 1 in non-switched areas.

So Sandy Heath transmitter ends analogue at 12:01am
and Nottingham at 12:09am.
Why don't they just say around midnight.
I'm not a betting man, but I put my money on 12:04 and 28 seconds.
Please enter what time you think they will end below.
The winning prize will be a selection of channels on freeview.

Andy,
The missing channels are on UHF Ch. 24 where ITV Analogue used to be. It is within the old "A" aerial group so shouldn't be a problem. Try doing a manual search on that channel if you can by "adding channels" to see if they lock in. I'm in St. Neots with a W (wideband) aerial and get all muxes fine but I'm only 8 miles from Sandy. An A group aerial has a red end. Its elements are quite wide and well spaced. A C/D aerial which may be around will point North to Waltham and have shorter element spaced closer together (higher frequency).
