Multiplex names, frequencies and power level highlighting
I have modified some pages on UK Free TV to make it easier to pick out certain types of information:
Multiplex names are now shown with a bright orange highlighter background.
Transmission frequencies and channel numbers have a bright green highlighter background.
Power levels (values in Watts) are now shown with a bright pink highlighter background.
An example of this is:
I shall be shortly extending this convention to all pages.

peter hinde: Yes, if you want to get Freeview HD now you will need to use Sandy Heath. That's assuming you can, but I can't say as you did not provide a full postcode.

Brian, Having now got through the DSO and currently enjoying a fully functioning T.V. service, I think it appropriate to say many thanks for all your hard work in putting out the endless stream of information and guidance over these many months of,(for some of us) near TV chaos. Knowing what it's all about has been a massive help. Thank You. JM (NG22).

sharon burrows: Press services, then on the selection menu press "0-0-1-select" in one operation, this best done whilst not looking at the screen. Then scroll down to RF outlets and you will see a selection to turn RF2 power on, storing once "ON" selected.

Hi Brian
I am on the keighley transmitter that switched last Wednesday. All channels work fine and signal is good and quality is good. The only downside is I can't get any hd channels as I believe the signal is too strong. I don't know why they made the signal too strong if they knew it would cause problems. I bought an attenuators to reduce the signal but still not working. Have you any idea what I can do next? If I buy another attenuators and link them would this work? I am amazed a signal could be too strong!! I have a sony bravia tv with a hd free view already in.
Thanks for any help

Mark: HI Brian
Thanks for the reply. Yes I know it can be confusing thinking that just becuase it says on the TV HD Ready you think it can receive Freeview HD broadcasts. My Tv is the Sony Bravia KDL-40EX503 which has a freeview DVB-T2 tuner built in so it has the ability to receive Freeview HD signals. It has found the HD channels but they are blocky and the sound is awful. it all points to the signal being too strong.

I have now put THREE attenuators on my aerial lead. I have been able to reduce the power to zero so i lose all the signal. I have turned it up notch by notch but the HD channels still blocky and crackling sound. This is no use.I am really disappointed with this free view and I bought my tv because of the advertised free view HD. The disappointing thing is no one can seem to be able to give me a solution.
