My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

Jim Robson: Which HD channels are you missing? Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see the predicted signal strength at your location.

Today, 19 March 2019, I lost the signal on all BBC programmes. Allother programmes are still active. When I followed the scan process to try to locate the BBC programmes they all disappeared.
Not sure why when yuo are reporting there are no problems with the Beacon Hill Transmitter that I am using.
Can you help

Brian Halsey: Rescanning for channels was the worst thing to do as you have now deleted several channels which were previously correctly tuned, making it much harder to track down the cause of the problem. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

Hi I hope you can help,
We have bought a Sony TV Last year and didn't have any problems for 6 or 7 Months, then we moved house in Lasrt September and since then most of the chanels on the Youview guide shows no Information available, I've checked the interet conection and it always shows connected and if we have any other device on i.e phone, laptop, other TV it has a connection, So what could be causing the problem I used to think it was an Arial conection because we had to have a new one fitted but it's not an Arial problem so I've been told and the internet shearch shows it's a Internet connection problem but all checks shows nothing is wrong, Can you advice please please.

Gerry Walsh: Firstly, which channels are not working, the channels received via your internet connection or those received via your aerial? Anything in the 300-599 range is received over the internet, however all other channels are received via your aerial. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see which transmitter you're using, where you are in relation to it and your predicted coverage etc.

Gerry Walsh: YouView is a hybrid - its both web based and served by an aerial. If the wifi/internet is working OK, then check the aerial strength.
