Press the [SERVICES] button and then press [4] [0] [1] then [SELECT]

Then press [4] to go to the RF output menu.

You can now change the value so that it does not clash with an analogue TV channel or a Freeview multiplex.

HD and "new EPG" boxes

If you have a HD box, press [SERVICES] button and then press [0] [0] [1] then [SELECT]. Nothing is shown on the TV screen until you press the Select button.

Then use the [RIGHT] arrow button on the remote until this screen is shown, and press SELECT to change the values:

brian: You need to switch your TV to analogue mode and then tune it, with the Sky box powered on.

Or follow the method above to find out what RF channel your Sky box is putting its signal out on and then go to the TV and tune, in the analogue part, to that channel.

What is the make and model of the upstairs TV?

Hi,

I currently have Sky donwstairs, and fed into that is a lead from a Wolesy booster box, (In has a cable coming from somewhere, presumably the aerial) and the other cable connects to Sky. This then feeds a signal to all TV's in the house, via another box in the attic. I want to be able to view the Sky channel from the box in all the rooms (I know I can't watch different channels at the same time), how do I do this?

Dan B: What you have described "is" the standard set up for feeding the Sky boxes "analogue" RF modulator to other TV's in a house, that is provided the TV's are set on analogue if dual standard DVB (Freeview) and analogue types.

All you require to do is carry out an "analogue" auto tune on each of the bedroom TV's to receive the Sky boxes modulator output, not forgetting to store the result or the channel number will be lost when you switch the set off.

As you have not mentioned it its therefore assumed that no remotely positioned channel changing magic eyes are involved?

I have a SKY+HD box with a TV connected in the lounge downstairs and also a TV connected via the RF2 outlet upstairs plus a TV connected via the RF1 outlet in the kitchen. All was working fine until recently when the picture and sound on the kitchen TV deteriotated. Thinking that this was a fault with the TV I obtained a new one but the problem is still there. I have plugged the TV directly into the RF1 outlet (rather than via a coax extension) and the problem is still the same. Any ideas ?

NeilF: If the problem is only affecting the kitchen TV then you should try swapping its feed from the Sky boxes RF1 over to RF2 either AFTER going into the engineering menu and switching off RF2's power supply, or to save you changing the menu settings just temporarily fit the magic eye to the kitchen TV to isolate RF2's 9 volt supply from entering the kitchen TV's aerial socket.

Another way is just to try swapping the upstairs TV's feed from the Sky boxes RF2 over to RF1 ignoring the fact that the magic eye will not work, the point about this being that its extremely uncommon for a fault to develop on RF1 but not RF2 as its usually the other way around.
