From Wikipedia: Whilst previous incarnations of the station offered a more diverse range of programmes for London's various ethnic, religious, social and cultural communities, specialist programming now remains in a smaller form and is mostly broadcast during weekend times. Most programmes on 94.9 are speech-heavy including interviews, studio guests, banter between presenters and phone-ins, but many also feature music in varying quantities. Sport is a major part of the schedule, with a 3-hour sports-based programme each weeknight evening and 4-hour sport specials on Saturdays and Sundays. - link icon read more about BBC Radio London on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Bernie : BBC Radio London has been on Freeview in London and surrounding areas since at least last year. If you get either BBC London, BBC East or BBC South East regional news on BBC1, you should find BBC Radio London on Freeview channel 721.

BBC national and local station streams changed to BBC - Home earlier this year from http://bbcmedia.ic.llnwd.…f_p.
All the local stations (Radio London, Radio Sussex, etc) have stopped working. With just a repeating message saying the current program is unavailable due to a technical fault.
BBC - Home /bbc_london

Does anybody know the new stream address or are they closing down the Internet version and want us to onlyh use iPlayer.
Also does "BBC World Service News" still exist, as I can only find BBC World Service stream and not both.

BBC - Home /bbc_world_service = BBC World Service (UK) New stream.
http://bbcwssc.ic.llnwd.n…ieuk = BBC World Service (UK) Old stream.
http://bbcwssc.ic.llnwd.n…inws = BBC World Service (News) Old stream.

http:// was working for me at the time of this post :)

Adam Daly:

If it's available in your area on Freeview you may find it on LCN/Channel 721 in the EPG according to the Freeview list I've been looking at, but in your location it may be BBC Radio Wiltshire! If so, have a scroll through and see if it's anywhere else in the 720s-730s, i get the impression it's a bit hit and miss as to which ones are available in adjacent areas around London. It might also depend on which transmitter you get your BBCA/PSB1 multiplex from.
