Have just had to retune TV. Now no channel 83
and 84 says invalid service. Why? And how do I
remedy this? Postcode is YO10 4HJ. Thanks.

Kari Gual:

You shouldn't have any problem with any of the multiplexes from Emley Moor (Yorkshire region) or indeed Bilsdale (Tyne Tees region) at your location. As both are in a very similar (~NE) direction from your location, you maybe tuned to a mix of multiplexes from both transmitters or indeed missing some because of the transmitter changes going on today, there's the possibility that some multiplexes may have been off-air or low power when you were retuning. Other possibilities are your sets memory may need clearing.

Best suggestion at this time is unplug the aerial and do a full retune which should clear the memory as no channels will be found. Reconnect the aerial and repeat the retune which will hopefully restore your channels.
If you have problems with the "wrong" region you may have to do a reset if your set would prompt for the region, or alternatively do a manual tune on the UHF channels for the region you want.

Emley Moor currently is 47, 44, 41, 51, 52, 48, 32, 56, 39 in the order PSBs1-3, COMs4-8, Local. There's a further retune event on 5th Feb.2020
Bilsdale is 21, 24, 27, 43, 46, 40, 55, 56 same order, no Local, no further retunes.

For which channels are on which multiplex see Channel listings | Freeview

Please follow the general advice in the post before yours. For specific advice on which transmitter you may be receiving and predicted reception of the relevant multiplexes, a full postcode is needed.

Hi guys! Apologise if I've sent this to the wrong address? Just to say, although I adore the channel, why don't you play more fantastic, alternative music instead of mostly mainsteam?
For example, I was a massive Gary Numan then Japan fan. Japan were/are magnificent, and produced more songs than 'Second that Emotion' (which was a cover anyway). John Foxx's Underpass is also a masterpiece. Or Bill Nelson etc? What about 'Sisters of Mercy' and many more? There are a lot of fans just like me, and we would appreciate a bit more! Thanks and keep rocking! Peace Carole

Carole Young: This is not Now 80's website and it is unlikely that anyone from the channel will read your post here. This is an independent website for technical help with TV and radio reception problems.

Carole Young:

Now 80's is owned by All Around the World Productions Ltd (a record label company) whose parent label is
Universal Music Operations Ltd. part of the Universal Music Group, all of whom have the registered address 364-366 Kensington High Street, Kensington, London W14 8NS
I can't (readily) see any e-mail address for them unless there's something in their Companies House listing which shows them as part of Universal Music Leisure Ltd with a correspondence address 4 Pancras Square, London, United Kingdom, N1C 4AG
In short, this means there doesn't seem to be any easy way to get in touch with them!
Universal Music Group have a Youtube channel Universal Music Group
- YouTube
which might lead you to a way to get in touch with them or give them feedback.
