Read this: When could my TV signal return after the Bilsdale TV mast fire?
Summary: A FIRE at a Bilsdale TV mast has left up to a million people without TV and radio signal - but users are desperately to know when signals will return. The mast is primarily used for radio and television transmission and is among the most powerful in the UK. In a more recent statement, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire had been extinguished but a 300-metre exclusion zone remains around the mast. - www.thenorthernecho.co.uk

ray clegg: That's impossible to answer at the moment. Engineers cannot work on the mast at Bilsdale until it has been confirmed to be structurally safe and although Arqiva have a temporary mast being transported to Bilsdale it will take time to be constructed and connected up to the transmitters, which could be anywhere from a few days to several weeks. If you provide a full postcode we can check whether you might be able to tune to another transmitter.
