London dates are out: 4 April and 18 April 2012. Guildford does not change in advance.
I think you assumed Guildford had to change before Hannington, because of the channel clashes. The dependency is the other way round - if Guildford goes high power before Hannington does it will break Mux 1, 2, A and B, so Hannington has to go first.

I forgot to add yesterday the Nottingham transmitter is is also poor in parts of Mansfield ,so it really is a case of moving the aerial around to get the best transmitter with the best signals for reception.depending where you live.So now I am really looking forward 'Not' to when the BBC force us to use DABS radio and have to go out and buy new !!

Mike, thanks for your comments about my post, but I have NO problems with my splitter - I was trying to assist Neil whose original posting indicated an identical apartment block set up to my own. I do apologise if my non technical postings have caused either you or him any angst or additional confusion. kind regards Penny

Mike Dimmick: I've put up a page at London switchover dates confirmed | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - I note that is exactly when I said it would be back in 2007.

I have a Durabrand CG5660-M which I haven't used for a while.
When I turn on and see the "First Time Installation" I get no further as the remote doesn't work. The lock light is green - does that mean the unit is locked? I have changed the batteries. No details in the manual - help!

Ron:
(a) press "Standby" button on the remote control, then unplug the power cord (within 2 sec.) of the set top box IMMEDIATELY;
(b) After 3 sec. plug in the power cord to the STB again;
(c) Repeat step (a) & (b) until the STB enter the "First Time Installation" screen. Then the box will proceed channel search again.
- from how to mend it .com - DURABRAND CG5660-M is asking for a Lock Key Code. Help!? (RG47SH)

How to fix the No sound problem on Channel 301. I did not believe this, it is so easy. Check that your subtitle is set to ENGLISH!! That's it done! If it's set to Gaelic or Welsh NO sound! I set mine to ENGLISH and there was the sound. I hope this works for you.

I have a full HD TV and would like to know when I will be able to view HD programmes without having to buy additional equipment.
Thanks

@David Smith Use the HD Check Freeview | Coverage Checker if the "Freeview" logo on your TV's manual/box/sticker does not have a "HD" next to it, you will need to buy a box to decode high definition transmissions as they use a different broadcast format from standard definition. (OX163LH)
