Waltham - retune required Wednesday 13 April 2011
Just a quick reminder that there is a frequency change at Waltham, where from 13 April 2011 until 31st August 2011 at Waltham, Multiplex 2 will operate on C31 at 8kW (from original C23).
If you use this transmitter, you will need to retune.

Have tried to re-tune my 7yr. old SANYO TV to no avail. Telephoned 08456 50 50 50 for help. Spoke to Stephen.Unfortunately he was unable to help but advised me to go to the manufacturer.I am with the Sandy Heath transmitter & we had problems with the !st. re-tuning. Told to wait until something came up on TV screen as, in my area there was a delay. Nothing happened, no advice.
Can you suggest a solution to my problem please. MLH

Martin Hudson: Your set is probably on the "don't work" list - TVs and boxes that do not support the 8k-mode | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
You will need to use a Freeview box.

Did the retune around 1pm - no problems all multiplexers working. I switched over to ITV1 at 7:45pm to watch the live footy only to be confronted with "No Signal". Switched on the PVR thinking it might be a problem with the TV only to see the "No Signal" again. At that time concluded there must be a fault with Waltham Tx. A couple hours later a further 2 multiplexers had stopped transmitting. I can't see this being engineering works, more like a fault.

braintist, cheers for reply, have switched of devices, taken airiel feed direct to one tv, retried on that tv and no better. we have two airiels one pointed at belmont and one at waltham, (we wanted central ITV)we have always had good digital reception from both. 100 plus channels, down to 57 since the 13th

So what has happened to channel 26? It has disappeared completely from all my free view receivers despite several full re tunes. Everything on the new channel 31 has a very low quality signal and is just about unwatchable.
