I live in Carlisle,Cumbria I have just installed an old Sky dish to a 2nd hand skybox, I have managed to the SKY channels up and running but the BBC and ITV channels are coming up with the error code 36 and the message no satellite signal is being received, I am at a loss as I have the sky ones working OK, Any suggestions would be greatly appriecated

Adrian Guthrie - It seems like your dish isn't quite peaked to provide reception over all the satellites (there is a cluster of several) at 28 degrees South East The BBC and ITV are Beamed from Astra 2D with SKY coming from Astra 2A. Some transmissions also come from Eurobird 1. You can check the signal strength within the SKY menu structure. You can obtain a small basic meter (they are reasonably priced) that may assist in signal peaking from Maplins in Carlisle

For viewers in the Manchester area receiving the MEN multiplex, there is now a new channel "Movies4Men" on LCN 201.

Walt Johnson: Yes, the channel is listed on the Winter Hill page.

Lesley: Please see What does "Full HD Ready" actually mean? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - if you do have a Freeview HD (DVB-T2) set, you may have to wait for Sutton Coldfield to switchover later this year, but you can receive the service from The Wrekin, Winter Hill, Lark Stoke and Bromsgrove transmitters.

Susan: This might be what you would expect from a loft (rather than rooftop aerial), but you are in an excellent reception area.

lanie: You will need to talk to Sky I would have thought to ensure you are paying them enough to get either the "+" or the HD services.
