Arqiva press release on Oxfordshire switchover
From Arqiva press office:
NEWS ALERT
Date: 28 September 2011
DSO completed for Oxford transmitter group
The Digital Switch Over process for the Oxford transmitter group, serving Oxfordshire and parts of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, has been successfully implemented by Arqiva.
The public-service multiplexes are now being transmitted at full power from the main station at Oxford and, for the first time, from its five dependent relays at Ascott under Wychwood, Charlbury, Guiting Power, Icomb Hill and Over Norton.
The 'commercial' multiplexes (Oxford only) do not reach their final DSO powers until April 2012, as planned.
Following the analogue switch-off for BBC Two on 14 September, the remaining analogue signals for BBC One, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 ceased by 00:01 on Wednesday 28 September. The new digital signals entered official service at Oxford at 06:00, with the last of the relays completed by 12:33.

Since the Oxford transmitter upgrade on the 28th Sept 11 I've lost all the channels that have been moved on to C59 (Dave, E4+1 etc). My box is showing no signal on that channel and I notice from the map when you click on that channel there doesn't appear to be any transmitter serving the the oxfordshire/Buckingham area.
Is this going to be rectified, can I get my channels back another way?

Simon:
You are served by the Oxford transmitter for all 6 multiplexes (MUXes) and should have no problem receiving any of them.
Try doing a full factory reset and scan with the aerial unplugged.
Then do a new installation with the aerial plugged back in.

If you are using an Amplifier or Booster and the reset hasn't solved the problem, take it out of circuit and try again.

Before switchover this week we had perfect digital reception, however, now numerous channels e.g sky news and dave are unwatchable. the tv has been retuned completely. I understood the transmission power was to be increased on switchover however now my reception is far worse than before. Do you have any ideas. we live in the oxford area.

adrian:
Sky News & Dave are on the same multiplex ie. Arq A (COM5). This has moved upto C67 with no change of power, but it has gone from 2K mode to 8K mode which reduces the effective strength.
Did you have a problem with Arq B ie channels such as Film4, Yesterday & ITV4 etc before the change on the 28th? Arq B was on C67 until then.
SDN which has moved to C48 has increased power to full strength - ITV3, 5*, 5USA, Quest etc.

adrian:
Try a full factory reset and scan as suggested for simon above.
If that doesn't work, post on the main Oxford transmitter board with your postcode in the location box, stating the current situation with the other MUXes.

Briantist: I'm used to using BBcode which might not be correct for your boards, although my post at 3.56pm see to have corrected itself, I guess you may have script that runs periodically and puts such things right. Just posting the url as part of the text doesn't make it clickable though, and I generally like my links to be clickable, sometimes with a word name - "here" is one of the most common examples one likes to use.

Like Simon, I have lost signals to channels I was picking up perfectly before switchover. Regardless of what I do, factory re-set, re-tune and re-tune I cannot retrieve Really, Dave, Food channels, which I now believe is C59. Even manual tuning there is nothing C59.
What has happened..surely this should all have been resolved before the final switchover. I don't remember having all these problems with Analogue. I would really appreciate some advice or if anyone knows if this is just a temporary problem. Thanks.
