This week's commercial multiplex changes
Brian Butterworth published on UK Free TV By a modification to one of the parameters used for broadcast (the "forward error correction") the capacity of the multiplexes increases by 12.5%, which is sufficient for an additional standard-definition channel to be broadcast - see Freeview modes - a simplified explanation.
The changes are taking place on a rolling programme. This week:
