I have now lost all signal can you tell me what the problem might be?
The problem could be one of:
- the aerial has been moved or damaged;
- the cables or connectors that connect the digibox to the aerial are damaged;
- the digibox has broken.
If you have a "spare" digibox you use this to test the aerial connection. Can you still watch analogue TV OK?

My aerial is roof mounted & 7 years old.
10 days ago, I had all freeview channels. In the last 10 days every day I have received different channels. As of last night/today - I HAVE NO channels.
Everything is still happily connected & I have rebooted all receivers & TV sets.
What has happened to the signal?
When will it be fixed?
The digital map on this site shows my postcode as grey - meaning NO SIGNAL. Why has this happened - HOW CAN IT BE FIXED?
Many Thanks

Hello, I'm not sure if anyone can help but some advice would be really appreciated.
I have a LG TV with inbuilt Digital Freeview. It has no analogue option to test.
I have a shared externtal aerial. It was replaced in July this year. My neighbours don't seem to have any problems.
In September I lost my Freeview channels. In October, I lost ITV channels. In late Nov I lost all BBC's. I've checked and changed the cable, I've plugged my TV into a Digital Box and tried a friends TV. I've had the aerial fitting in my flat looked at. Nothing is faulty but I have no picture. Is it likely to be the new aerial? Many thanks, Jen

Jen: It could be the cable that connects your aerial point to the TV, or it could be the tuner in the TV.
If it's the "fly lead", just replace it.
If it's the tuner then you could confirm this by borrowing a Freeview box and seeing if that works.

I am moving off cable tv and would like to use freeview. I'm not picking up any freeview channels, and the signal strength is showing as 30%. I am using an external aerial fixed on the roof. Should I get a new aerial fitted or should I go for freesat?

Jonathan: The answer could be neither as you may well be picking up the low power pre-switchover signal.
If you have a 30% signal strength but 100% quality, then there is no issue and the boost in transmission power when switchover occurs will give you more of a margin (signal strength above which your receiver starts to work).
Which transmitter is your aerial directed at? If you don't know, then what direction is it pointing in and is it horizontal or vertical?
If it's the Gravesend relay (208 degrees, aerial vertical) then you will only get the main Public Sector Broadcaster (PSB) multiplexes. Also if this is the case then anything digital you are picking up now is not coming from Gravesend, so you would probably be best advised to have another aerial fitted which is directed at one of the main transmitting stations (probably Crystal Palace).

Hi,
Every evening about 20:00 I lose Freeview channels 3,4,5,6,13, plus others.
This occurs on 4 different TV's. Two TV's have set top boxes, One TV has built in Freeview and the other TV has a Philips Freeview digital recorder connected.
After an hour or so service returns. BBC channels are never affected.
Is anybody else affected like this? Area is Essex - CM11 1BU.
Thanks.

I am also getting the same problem as Neil. I am in ME12 1TF (sheppey) and my problem is at around 20:00 aswell. Does anyone know why this is? I can still receive BBC channels fine. (51.4408,0.7677)
