My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

I'm in Hampshire and up until yesterday our tv signal was fine but now we've lost all bbc channels. other channels are there but none of the bbc ones and a couple of others are not there. I've already tried re-tuning, turning it off on the main switch, re-setting it...nothing's working. is there a problem down this area?
the weather was a bit poor yesterday and I thought maybe that would've caused it but today's a lovely weather and it's not back on. and we've had worst weather in the past and nothing like this ever happened.

Haven't had BBC channels for 3 days now. There doesn't appear to be any maintenance.
I've retuned twice a day on my three TV's. No BBC channels for any of them.
HP16 0SE, aerial is roof mounted.

Yes Dave! I live in the Burgess Hill area about two miles from Haywards Heath and I have never had such bad TV reception EVER.
Since digital re-tuning multiple times the reception gets worse and worse. Pixilation occurred all day yesterday (Sunday) and is there again today.
My aerial is roof mounted and was installed in 2008 together with a new tv.
What can I do about it - I cannot watch tv on my tv!!!

I lost Sky News and Talk sport over a week ago now , retuned and channel 82 and 723 have dissapeared altogether ,,,,,,,,,,,,retuned several times since to see if they have come back again ....but no luck ....have tried another freeview boa as I understood it my have been my matsui box but the channels on my Goodmans box are just the same .... I have read also that this may be due to Sky ( and maybe Talk Sport ) being "Dropped" further down the channel listings , and noted that Sky did appeal ( and lost i think ) that decision, so if they HAVE been dropped down the channel listing why are they not appearing when i retune my freeview boxes ( both of them ) ........ any info I would appreciate .......Thanks

Hove
I live in Hove and had a roof aerial fitted about a year ago. All fine until Sun night, when pixelation started. Worse last night, with audio drop out. Tried auto retune several times, but have now lost Bbc1, ITV, and loads of channels. Tried mains disconnect, RF unplug and scan etc, now have even fewer channels than before. Down to 119 found. Box is built into Sony Bravia.
Please help!
Thanks. Postcode BN3 6GB

Since the required retune last week, BBC Channels are being lost during the evening. These were usually available on Channel 60, but when they are available in the evening it is from Channel 41. I live in Postcode TQ13, and have a two year old Samsung digital TV. I have tried Manually retuning and Automatically retuning, but these channels continue to drop out in the evening. Is there a problem with the Beacon Hill transmitter please? (TQ13 an)

Jason Smith: Channel 41 is the signal from Torquay Town transmitter and so you are not receiving from Beacon Hill (directly at least)!!
Torquay Town uses channels 41, 44 and 47.
Run the automatic tuning scan with the aerial unplugged for the first 50% of the scan. This will prevent your receiver from tuning in Torquay Town. It will miss out the three Commercial channels from Beacon Hill which you will need to add manually and these are 42, 45 and 51.
