PL Feasible that your room cable has been cut or unplugged.
Bedroom might be a lead of its own - or looped back from living room if there were two sockets.
If you have enough cable to attach a coax plug to do away with the wall plate. Or solder on wires.

richard harrison: "If" you are meaning that you tried connecting the Freeview PVR onto the same aerial system as used by the Panasonic and this was the result, then that suggests that the signal level being received is not really strong enough albeit its OK for the Panasonic, as the tuners used on Panasonic TV's are about the best available insomuch that they can produce a reasonably stable picture on a weak signal where most other devices (excluding Humax boxes) wont.
Without knowing the model of Panasonic in question you should carry out a signal condition check, noting the signal strength / quality (particularly this) indications seen, as you might require to use a two way powered splitter to feed both devices.

I have recently had a new 32 element aerial installed because the circuitry board of the old 52 element one was getting water in it causing picture break-up. The installer insisted that I didn't need 52 elements, but now the picture on freeview is not as clear as it was. The installer insists that a more powerful aerial would not improve the picture quality, is this true ?

According to this you have a good signal - unless local obstacles.
Regardless, for digital it should either work perfectly or not at all, so I fear you have false memory!

mark phillipps: Crystal Palace @ 27 miles away is shown as being your only option for reception, and what your installer has said is quite correct insomuch that with digital reception its a total myth that these large pieces of metal work somehow improve reception, as in most cases something like a Log 40 used in conjunction with a 20db variable booster (shown in link) will give far superior results as the gain can be varied to suit the conditions, although a 15db loft mounted booster is "slightly" superior in the technical sense by being located closer to the aerial, as amplifying the signal before it comes down the coax can result in less interference being picked up by the coax.

I have a smart TV (Samsung) connected HDMI to a freeSat pvr. The Samsung has a record feature which does not record to the PVR. Can this be achieved without a Samsung PVR?
I have a double satellite arial feed, one going to the PVR and one to the Samsung TV. It doesn't feel right as it is, and I am fed up with trying to find multiple remotes. ( also have DVR and Apple TV on HDMI) so just one less would be a benefit.
Any advice? Thanks.

I've around 80% signal strength and zero signal quality, lock indicator show Not Locked. After turning the power off for couple of hours and turning it back on the picture appears for only few minutes with about 70% signal quality before going off again. Whlie the picture is on Lock Indicator show OK and with no signal quality/picture it goes back to Not Locked. I've tried swiching off everything, connecting, reconnecting the cable at both ends and also replaced the cable without any success. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
