From Wikipedia: The channel had been available from launch on UPC Ireland, but was pulled on 22 March 2006. The channel had already been and remains available to Irish viewers on free-to-air satellite for some time, however it has not been listed in the Sky electronic programme guide since its removal on 25 January 2006. ITV3 took its channel number and bandwidth meaning all platforms could be launched simultaneously. - en.wikipedia.org read more about ITV3 on wikipedia (summary by Clipped).

Hi
I've had no signal for ITV3 and others on channel 51 from Emley Moor transmitter for nearly a week now. I've been advised there are no transmitter problems but neighbours and other people nearby are having the same issue. I've done all the recommended things like unplugging everything, scanning without aerial, scanning with aerial. Why is it always that mux? Thanks

D Lavington: Are you sure your tuned to Emley Moor? Your just 4km from the transmitter - to lose a mux that close means that something must be very wrong!

Yes I'm 4 km away from Emley Moor transmitter. There's an update requiring a retune on 3rd September but according to the transmitter page all channels should be received. All other mux have great reception.
Thanks for your reply. I'll have to get an aerial fitter out to check nothing else causing interference on that mux.

D Lavington One possibility is that you have too much signal! There is a threshold on all tuners that should not be exceeded at the strong signal end as well as there being a minimum level needed to get relaible signals. At just 4 km from a very from a very powerfull transmitter you may have just too much signal. It is worth trying reducing the signal by fitting an attenuator where the aerial lead fits into your TV. You could try a variable one, suich as this Aerial Coaxial Cable Variable Attenuator: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics (there are other types and suppliers), and adjust it gradually from its minimum setting and allowing the TV to respond to the changes which means waiting a few minutes between each small adjustment. There could, of course, be other reasons for the problem but this is worth a try for very little expenditure.

Since the channel updates in early September we haven't been able to view ITV3, in its new 808 location, due to "interference" i.e. picture not coming through properly, sound jumping. It was fine on channel 10 previously. No other channel affected. This is in Hove, West Sussex, presumably Whitehawk Hill transmitter.
Anybody heard of any similar problems? Have tried retuning etc.
Cheers!
Mal

Hi,
I have just returned from holiday for 2 weeks and now cannot receive hd channels bbc4, bbc news and cbbc.
I am within 5 miles of the Hannington transmitter and have direct line of sight to it. I am using a nearly new humax freeview+hd box.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Vey poor reception of ITV3 in Central Scotland. Every other channel perfect. Coming from Blackhill transmitter.

Mal Grey: What do you now have listed at position 10 in the channel list? Does this give a viewable channel when selected? It is possible that the listing for ITV3 at 808 is the service from Rowridge on C25 rather than that from Whitehawk Hill on C57. If you had good reception from Whitehawk prior to the retune, you should still have similar reception unless co-incidentally C57 has suddenly become subject to interference. If you have a manual tune facility on your receiver try selecting C57 to do a check on the strength and quality of any signal being received on that frequency.
