Since "That's Solent" have been on air (26/11/14) on a part time basis they seem to be broadcasting what can only be described as rehearsals for going on air as they have been plagued with technical problems with no correspondence between the guide and actuality. There was absolutely no live output over the christmas break intermitting between the Jewellery Channel and a misleading test card. If they are to have any chance of success they really have to "get their act together" soon because at the moment they are almost a waste of airspace and to quote a well known phrase "you couldn't make it up".

We are now into 2015 and there is still no sign either of the new programs promised to us or an end to the technical problems they have been blighted with since the start of their transmissions on November 26th. When are they going to get their act together and start to resemble any sort of professional organisation which prospective local advertisers are going to want to use and provide a showcase for the myriad of local talent within the local area. The station should not be an outlet for anything more than local news and cheap music videos.

Lovely to just turn on and see Rhianna singing 'Diamond', was this by any chance in honour of the IoW Tabby Tiger called Diamond who died yesterday - if so how very apt. He was loved by many and was 12 years old. His twin Ayesha survives him and will obviously be lost without him. Really sad as Diamond was the third Big Cat to die in just over 6 months (there is no link between the deaths). In December the Lion Charlie Brown passed and in late June one of the much loved Tigers Rajiv lost his life. I am sure the sanctuary will continue its good conservation work and will no doubt be rescuing more big cats in the future.

steve kingett: This is not the website of That's Solent (or any other TV channel) Steve. Their website does not appear to be up and running yet.
I believe that their telephone number is (020) 7612 4141.

Hi My name is Lord David Harrison, I am currently the publicity officer for Solent Male Voice Choir.
We are a full Choir, and do lots of work raising money for many and varied causes, (one our main cases is "the Rowans hospice".) We sang at the Kings theatre last summer to help raise funds for the "Rocky appeal". We also have a section for smaller venues called "Solent PO2".
We rehearse every Tuesday at, St Nicholas Hall, Battenburg avenue , Portsmouth.
I was wondering if it would be possible to come on one of your programmes to talk about our choir, and try to raise the profile of the choir, and about rectuitment of new members due to bereavement and retirement of members.

Lord David Harrison: I'm sure that they would be interested, but this is not the website for That's Solent or any other channel. Their website seems to be still under construction.
As I posted in reply to Steve Kingett's message (the message directly above yours) I believe that the contact telephone number for That's Solent is (020) 7612 4141
