Radio Caroline
Radio Caroline is a public digital radio station radio. UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).Radio Caroline multiplexes

Steve Cox : Because either the broadcast can't or isn't prepared to pay the rates charged for coverage on one of the London multiplexes, or there isn't space on capacity that they can afford.

News from Free Radio Caroline - Free Radio Caroline. The legend lives on
--------------------
Official Statement
The following announcement is made by Free Radio Caroline:
Free Radio Caroline wants to make clear that the licensed
stations proclaiming to be the real Radio Caroline are using the
famous name without the agreement of the Radio Caroline legendary
founder Ronan O'Rahilly.
Radio Caroline was a free offshore radio at sea from 1964
until 1990, without any official control but with high respect from all
over the planet, an iconic face of freedom of expression.
Stations on land controlled by governments will never be the
real Radio Caroline and are violating Ronan O'Rahilly requests and the
message of the station Loving awareness is free...
It's time for a new and free Radio Caroline.
The legend lives on...

Nigel Gage: Try asking the station if they have any plans for DAB coverage in your area, this isn't their website.

HI from Peter in Sheffield.
Radio Caroline on 648KH is very loud and clear in Sheffield in the daytime even in Sheffield city center I can even pick it up clear on a pocket radio on a bus or on the tram. But at night it has a lot of co channel intrance on it from other radio stations but once daytime comes it sound great again on Radio Caroline

IIRC they changed to one of the better antenna at Orfordness not so long ago, onto the 350ft. main antenna instead of the 160ft. standby one. I believe they've applied to OFCOM for an increase in power over the present 1kW. I thought I read that the interference after dark will be likely from Slovenia and/or Spain.
They have their own website if you haven't visited - Radio Caroline
