M.SHARROD: have you read the above comments?

A) Your TV/PVR doesn't have a T2/HD tuner

B) Your transmitter doesn't have the channel - not all do, because its a commercial channel, and they dont have cover all transmitters.

Brian: I had a great signal from pontoon pike giving me excellent picture on 2 separate smart TVs with from 2 separate aerials. I did the usual refund to add new channels and lost channel 81 on both TVs.
What's gone wrong. Is it Pontoon Pike it can't be both aerials at the same time?
Any ideas. Thanks
John

John H: Are you missing any other channels, such as BBC News HD on 107? Please provide a full postcode so we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted signal strength etc.

Col: Retuning was a bad idea as you've now deleted the missing channels, making it much harder to know when the problem is fixed. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? What signal strength and quality are you seeing on other multiplexes?

Col: Those strength readings are very high so you may well be suffering with signal overload (see article "too much of a good thing" on this website). Try fitting an attenuator such as the one linked below to reduce your signal strength (I would buy the 6dB version too in case 3dB isn't enough) then carry out a manual scan from the TV's menu on UHF C31.

Brian: Talking Pictures is currently broadcast on the COM7 HD multiplex and therefore is only receivable on a TV or set top box that supports Freeview HD (HD Ready or Full HD isn't enough as this only indicates that the TV can display a HD picture from a HDMI input). However, Talking Pictures have announced that from 30th November they will be moving to the COM6 multiplex which can be received with any Freeview TV/box (see link below). If you currently have 4Music on channel 18 then you will be able to receive Talking Pictures from 30th November (a retune may be needed on the day to update your channel list).
