My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound o
To deal with the problem you must clear the channel list completely and then rescan - if your box has it in the menus, please the 'installation menu' to do an initial scan or a reset to factory settings or First Time Installation. You MUST delete the entire existing list of channels. On most boxes this technique can be also be used:
Try this:
1) unplug your Freeview box (or idTV) from the mains;
2) unplug the aerial from the Freeview box by disconnecting the cable from the 'RF in' socket;
3) wait 30 seconds;
4) plug Freeview box (or idTV) mains back in;
5) do a complete scan for channels - it will fail without the aerial. (This may be in the installation or initialization menu, and is distinct from any 'add channels option'). Once this is done your channel line up should be empty;
6) reinsert aerial by reconnecting to the 'RF in' connection;
7) do a complete scan for channels again.
The Freeview channel line-up provided by six "multiplexes" - each of which carry five or more TV channels, radio channels, text services and EPG data. In this diagram each ROW represents a multiplex. If you are still missing a whole multiplex (ie everything on the row) you may need to replace your aerial with a wideband type, purchase a larger aerial or you may have interference from a VCR, games console, Sky Digibox or similar.

I live in G84 0AT, Since the Freeview Reset we have lost all channels on our Sony TV, previously well over 100, and on retuning none have re-appeared. Can you help resolve this please.

F. Alexander: What reset are you referring to? Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? There are no faults or engineering work showing for either the Rosneath or Garelochhead transmitters (both should provide a good signal at your postcode according to Digital UK's coverage checker).

Since work was done on the Whitehawk, Brighton transmitter a few weeks ago, we have lost Itv 3, 5 USA and 5 star, QVC, 5 plus 1, and drama channel both on our main tv and the small portables in the kitchen and bedroom. I have rescanned the small portables to no avail and still cannot get these channels. Why not? Everything was fine before the work was done. Also reception is sometimes appalling in the kitchen. Any answers? I look forward to your reply.

good morning, after hours of looking for the problem with our TV last night, owing to the fact we had no regional signal,
we checked your website this morning and your report says that there was no problem with your transmitter,
but according to a lot of people on the internet this morning, they had know signal either last night .
if there is a problem with your transmitter please have the decency to let your customers know via your website that there is a problem,

Tv reception pixelated then went off completely on all channels at about 8.30am this morning (postcode PE23 5LN). Car radio was struggling to capture Lincs FM.
All T.V sets at work (postcode PE23 5AE) are also showing no signal. Other staff at work complained of lost or bad radio reception.
Any ideas?

diana gleed: This website does not operate any transmitters, it is completely independent and exists to help with TV and radio reception problems. There is currently high atmospheric pressure over some parts of the UK which is causing broadcasts from distant transmitters to travel much further than they would under normal conditions, which are then causing interference with the signal from the transmitters that you normally receive. This is an entirely natural phenomenon which has been understood for decades and is not related to any transmitter fault.

I have 12 channels on my Humax EPG: BBC, ITV 1/2, E/More/Film/4, 5 and Yesterday. For some time it has been showing only the BBC channels for a full week. Typically, eg on Monday morning, it will show all Tues and Wed and Thurs till just after midday, varying with channels, and then by late afternoon load into Friday. On the TV, everything is there. Any idea why this should be?
It's an inconvenience because we check a week's programming, clicking anything of likely interest and and only occasionally watching it live instead of the recording. I did a manual retune but, as I suspected, that had no effect.
