There will be a short period when a number of site features will be disabled. This includes the email system, new comments and some engineering information functions.
When the switch to the new server is done, it can take up to 24 hours for the DNS system to catch-up, so it may be possible that you experience some delays for this period.
Having a dedicated server will improve the site response times.

I have just retuned my digi box because Film4 was breaking up and I have now LOST Film4.
Why is this happening, its rubbish, digital is good when its good but when it is marginal its lousy and subject to interruptions. Think I am using Mendip BTW
Analog fades slowly this needs fixing!

my father who is 93 has fallen out with me becuse i rutuned his freeview box and lost all the bbc channels,his post code is de23 8un,and i think the transmiter is sutton coldfield.i found most of them renumbered in the 800s,but not bbc 1.if he puts 001 into it somtimes bbc 1 will come on for a short time then say no signal.can you help please.

The way "Freeview" mucks about with channel changes saying it's all down to 5G is rubbish, they have moved quest to 19 and Dmax to 37 and Yesterday to 25 why? And now they have just been told the mast that serves Plymouth is losing the Smithsonian Channel channel after only being on for about 6 months

A Lloyd: You seem to be mixing up two completely different types of changes. The frequency changes are to free up the 700MHz band for mobile services. That has no connection with channel number changes, which are decided by the owner of those channels choosing to promote one of their other channels to a lower channel number. It is Smithsonian Channel's decision to broadcast on a cheaper multiplex with a lower level of coverage, not Freeview, who are just an organisation setup to carry out marketing for the UK's Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT) platform and have no control over how it is operated.
