Neil: Hi Neil. Your transmitter would appear to be Sandy Heath in Bedfordshire. There are no faults or engineering works associated with this transmitter this morning, however, you may experience temporary disruption to your TV signal today due to high pressure. Natasha: I am not sure how you could delete a comment on ukfree.tv once you have posted one. You would need to ask Brian Butterworth, 'Briantist', who is the owner of the ukfree.tv website! MikeP: Hi Mike. Thank you very much for confirming that Freeview tv transmitters may well not site a DAB radio transmitter, however, did you know that the BBC today launched a lot more of their local radio stations on Freeview TELEVISION Channels, channel numbers 720 t0 734. This extension to the no. of local radio stations on Freeview TELEVISION has occurred today in London and the East, with other BBC regions that may only have carried ONE local radio station, will follow suit by carrying more BBC Local radio stations on Freeview television channels in the coming weeks.Sorry to keep emphasising the word TELEVISION, but this is radio on TV, which could be useful to caravanners and campers this summer, when going on staycation, saving them having to pack a portable DAB RADIO with their holiday luggage! I know you were only trying to be helpful Mike and i'm sure no offence was intended on your part or mine! Richard, Norwich.

Jan Davies: Hi Jan. I sympathise with you regarding no D2 Sound Digital Multiplex on East Anglian DAB transmitters. I think you'll find it is because if we did have that multiplex transmitting from transmitters around here, they would interfere with transmitters in Europe, just like today on analogue FM radio and digital Freeview TV! Janet Mytton: Hi Janet. Firstly, I should point out that there is no such thing as a 'digital aerial'. This is a term used by aerial contracting companies to sell aerial installations! Digital 'Freeview' television is using the same frequencies as analogue used to, apart from the highest frequencies which were sold off to mobile phone companies for their 4G services. You say that your service is mostly ok, but ask why you lose service when warmer weather comes. When the weather is warmer the atmospheric pressure is high. TV signals from the transmitter reflect from the lower layer of the atmosphere called the 'troposphere', and on reflecting back towards another transmitter using the same group of frequencies or channels, the former transmitter interferes with the latter. This is known as "co-channel interference" or "CCI". The result is tv picture pixelation, squeaks on the sound and even a complete freezing of the picture. The receiving equipment then tends to 'give up' and reports 'no signal' or 'no service' on the screen of Freeview receiving equipment. This is all a consequence of a temporary atmospheric effect which used to cause interference on analogue television before digital switchover. All one can do is to wait until there are lower pressure conditions again. I would advise studying weather forecasts so you know when you can expect things to return to normal. P Howcroft: Good morning Mister Howcroft. Firstly, may I correct you on the date in your post? We haven't reached June 16 yet - today is only June 7th! I think you meant June 6, i.e. yesterday! As you leave Swaffham and head westwards towards King's Lynn, you are tending to rely on the Great Massingham transmitter for your digital radio signals. This transmitter has no reported problems or works being undertaken, but you may be suffering from interference due to the current high pressure atmospheric conditions. Things will improve when the weather changes. You'll also be pleased to know that the BBC are currently engaged in a plan called 'DAB Phase 4', which is an expansion of coverage, both indoor and mobile, of BBC National stations on DAB.
