Exactly my problems in that article quoted. Done stuff I've seen on the site but still happens. I don't record on Film4 as that breaks up bad now and same with ITV4 sometimes. Sit tight until April I guess.

Well before the power boost I had messed up ITV4/Yesterday/Film4 and getting home found Film4 absent from my listings so re-scanned. Film4's a bit skippy still but not as bad as before so I guess it'll be alright from now on, he says.

Only problem, Stephen, I might have channel wise is that all my Channel 4 lot are missing from my EPG for a week from now -C4, +1, More4, E4 etc.

I have Film4 and the rest but it and ITV4 in particular are having signal problems. It's been the way since the Oxford changeover in 2011 and only briefly sorted itself out when the thing went full power in April.
It's skipping, sometimes badly but always when I try recording on it.
I have an Alba ALDTR160 freeview box (had it 3-4 years). I specify that as despite several retunes, some first-time resets and other following of info I've found about here it's not changed much.
My mine beef simply is recording. Aerial's fine and depending on what happens I'm likely to get a new box.

Giving up really. It's good/bad regardless of weather and muxes etc. Might be the TV, that's old on top of the DVR so getting a newish box in from elsewhere. Kind of need a good Film 4/ITV4 the latter especially for the cycling. Needs must etc.

Hello,
out of nowhere tonight I lost signal on my freeview. We had moved the TV and box across the room but it's all plugged in fine etc. Switching cables over to second antenna port I get it back but trying to record I get "channel not installed" or "weak signal". Turning box off/on at wall brings it back (when on original antenna port) but then it goes again (and yet records the odd channel fine as if the signal's there).

Nothing going with Oxford transmitter in turn of works so unsure.

(Doing a first time installation scan does the same thing. Seems to be alright starting off recording on BBC1 for example with image but then changing channels brings up the blue screen "No Digital TV Signal Available")

Location is Aylesbury.

Not having much like with ITV freeview of late, recordings are finishing ahead of schedule, the signal either mildly interrupted or massively (audio skips ahead of image, recording skipping right to end in seconds). Channel 4 sometimes the same. Not sure if the transmitter (nothing seems wrong from the googling I've done) or the weather. Been going on a few days (though after my last retune in September, I lost a bunch of channels and so didn't retune back in March).

reached a point where recordings are not worth the effort.

Live in Aylesbury, so would be Oxford transmitter.

Hello, it's HP19 7QW

looks like the signal was as bad coming from the freeview on mty tv as well as freeview. I then did a channel retune and first time installation. I've now lost all my channels but the BBC ones. So now more than up the creek as before.
