All free TV channels in the UK

Anil:

In addition to what StevensOnln1 has said, Travel Channel is part of Discovery Networks UK and Ireland. The listing on this site is out-of-date.
See Travel Channel
also Travel Channel /watch
and Channels - Discovery UK even that listing isn't complete/up-to-date

if you are receiving from the Salisbury transmitter, it will be BBC South and ITV Meridian (South Coast) - same as the Rowridge transmitter.
There's also a Local Multiplex transmitted from Salisbury on UHF C23 (if you can receive it at your location) which should have a "That's TV" local station at LCN7 which presumably will have some local news.

James Bevan:

Just to clarify (as has been mentioned a few times around these pages) the listing at the top of the page has an error, the BBCB/PSB3 multiplex is on C30- not on C48. The frequencies quoted are also rounded to 0.2MHz. The offset is actually 0.166MHz (also applicable to C28- ArqB).

I can't find any reports of transmitter problems in the last 5 days, and it's not listed for Planned Engineering.
If there were any transmitters issues I would have expected to see many posts here and elsewhere and there isn't ;)

Bryan Law:

The Bilsdale transmitter is currently listed for Planned Engineering, so it's likely this work is what's affecting the signal.

DAVID ALLEN:

The Belmont transmitter is listed for Planned Engineering. If you happened to have retuned when there was no signal, it will have cleared all correct tuning and you'll need to retune again when signals are back on air. Just try again.

Francis Byrne:

I think you are quite correct Francis. As the site owner hasn't managed to keep up with all the 700MHz clearance changes, I'm sure I discovered similar last week.

Briantist:

Brian please please do these updates as soon as you can. All those maps are (were) one of the most useful features of the site ;)

Karl:

Well you should be all clued up now Karl and know what to expect. Do post back with any other queries/ideas whenever you need.

Jeroen:

It's likely to be later than February because of the In-Home support needed for changing aerials for some, simply because it's not very practical to be replacing loads of aerials during winter weather.

Michael Martin:

Yes they are recordings turned into text. There's a link at the bottom of such pages which says they are done by "Clipped".
Personally I don't have time to read most of them (nor are most of particular interest to me) so I don't know how bad they actually are. I may read this one though!

robert brown:

We don't know which transmitter you are receiving from. Apart from Crystal Palace, there is a couple of "relay" transmitters that also broadcast the Local multiplex for London Live, eg. Reigate & Hemel Hempstead. None of these transmitters are listed for Planned Engineering, so it's more than likely that the bad weather has shifted your aerial or damaged it or the downlead. You are best having a look at it to see if it's still pointing the correct way (also compare to neighbours aerials) or whether the downlead is flapping around which could mean it's damaged etc.

If there are no visible signs of a problem, unfortunately you'll have to get someone with the correct knowledge in to check for you. Some professional installers may do that for a minimal charge unless you want/agree to them replacing/fixing the problem. If you go for an installer, try to get someone recommended or you know is ok. Lots of cowboys out there.
