Alan John Richardson:

You can still receive it on COM7 UHF C55. I didn't check myself yesterday but it is fine today. As COM7 carries 3 BBC channels I would have expected a report from them if it had been off-air due to a fault, but I can't find any report, but then again in this covid-19 situation reports can get delayed (or maybe even fail to appear).

if you are still not receiving COM7, have you changed anything in your setup recently? Make sure you don't have any HDMI leads close to aerial and Flyleads as HDMI leads near unscreened/poorly screened flyleads/aerial leads can cause interference, especially with C55.

Otherwise, check your signal strengths and quality of other multiplexes in your TV's tuning section - do these look normal? If not it suggested a potential fault on your installation.

I'd check that your aerial seems intact and pointing in the correct direction and that your downlead looks undamaged (especially if it is old). Also check all your coax plugs, connections, flyleads etc, unplug connectors check for corrosion or other problems and reconnect them. Flyleads are a common problem, try swapping/changing them.
NOTE - Problematic connections, water ingress etc. can seem to affect reception of just an individual or several multiplexes.

js:

Thanks for that js. I've downloaded the zip file, I'll hopefully find time to look it over next week (although I did have a quick look at one of the TS files :D :D :D ).

Not sure why the "swear" filter didn't like your post, but I have seen part of an "unmoderated" version.
Bloomberg seems to be available as an HD channel (as does CNBC) on Freesat.
It seems to be also available on Sky, but that is subscription of course.

All free TV channels in the UK

Teresa:

Freeview don't have the Hannington transmitter listed for any Planned Engineering and they haven't listed a reported fault that I can find. BBC reports that might appear on this site may be delayed or not even appear due to the current covid-19 situation. Transmission on lower power is a possibility if there's a fault.

Have you made any changes to your set-up recently? How old is the aerial installation?

The checks suggested on this site are primarily the simple ones that you could do fairly easily yourself - check that your aerial seems intact (no obvious missing bits when you look up at it) and pointing in the correct direction and not rocking about in the wind. Also that your downlead looks undamaged (especially if it is old), is it securely fixed or flapping around in the wind?
Also check all your coax plugs, connections, flyleads etc, unplug connectors check for corrosion or other problems and reconnect them. Flyleads are a common problem, try swapping/changing them. See what signal strengths and quality you are getting for the multiplexes (groups of channels) shown in your TV's tuning section - are they similar levels and are they what you normally expect?

Problematic connections, water ingress etc. can seem to affect reception of just an individual or several multiplexes.

If the issues have not cleared up in the next 24 hours, post back on the Hannington page with a full postcode so that we can look at your predicted reception and see if there are any reported faults specific to your locale.

I'll reply to your post on the Wrekin transmitter page.

Chris:

Freeview haven't got the Wrekin transmitter listed for Planned Engineering, but a fault may have developed which is getting attention during daytime hours. I can't find any listing of faults by Freeview or the BBC, but in this covid-19 situation reports may get delayed or not appear.
If your problems are still ongoing after Friday, post back with a full postcode so we can look at the predicted reception and also check if there are any specific problems related to your locale.

H N Morris:

Judging by the phrasing of your post, I thinks it's first best to explain that there are 2 HD multiplexes that broadcast HD channels. Whether they are HD or SD, see Channel listings for Industry Professionals | Freeview for which channels are carried on which multiplex.
Note - the (temporary) COM7 multiplex which carries BBC4 HD is only broadcast from 25 main transmitters and only some main transmitters serving large centres of population have a Local multiplex. Both those multiplexes may not be received by everyone who get the other multiplexes, it depends on location, because of the power used and type of transmission.

The two main transmitters that you could receive that give good reception both have COM7 which you are predicted to receive (assuming you have the correct aerial) but you aren't predicted to receive the Local multiplexes from either (they are beamed towards the major city areas they serve).

So it depends which way your aerial is pointing whether you get the Waltham transmitter (Central news) at bearing 175 degrees (5 degrees E of due S) or the Belmont transmitter (Yorkshire news) at bearing 54 degrees (9 degrees E of NE). Your reference to "22" suggests Belmont which is the BBCA/PSB21 multiplex. As mentioned BBC4 HD is on COM7, UHF C55.

You need a Group T or Wideband aerial to get all multiplexes from Belmont (or Waltham come to that). Belmont was originally an old aerial Group A transmitter and the other main channels are in Group A, but if you still have an old Group A aerial you are unlikely to get any signal from COM7. You could try a manual tune on UHF C55 as auto tuning can sometimes miss weak signals.

H N Morris:

Sorry for the typo in the previous post, UHF C22 at Belmont is the PSB1/BBCA multiplex (not PSB21 as it ended up!).
