Are you receiving other programmes on the COM8 multiplex OK? See Digital UK | Channel listings
If you are using the Nottingham relay, it does not transmit COMs 7&8. There have been no recent changes to transmitters for your area, but reception may be affected by changes to other transmitters elsewhere.
Without knowing which transmitter you are receiving and your postcode, we can't offer any further advice on reception at your location. If you are still having problems, please post details on the transmitter page of the one you are using.

As StevensOnln1 says the Digital UK - Coverage checker may not be of any help, but you could try it to see. You are quite a long way from the transmitter and parts of your locale are not (well) covered. Due to the changes coming up there may well have been undocumented transmission dropouts.
If you click on the transmitter postcode BT49 9LJ at the top of this page, it will open the checker at the transmitter site where you can at least see the UHF channel change due on the 4th September. All the multiplexes are moving, you could even try a manual tune for UHF40 to see if the SDN multiplex is already transmitting there (unlikely but some transmitters around the UK have occasionally started a multiplex on the new channel before the switchover date).

If you are prepared to buy from Amazon then I would suggest this one -
Digital TV Aerial, SLx 27884D4 4G Filtered Loft & Outdoor 48 Element Aerial for Digital TV High Gain Wideband Freeview HD: Amazon.co.uk: TV
It's the same part number (27884) but it's a 4G filtered version (SLx, Labgear, Philex, all the same group!) & only 1.65p more than Screwfix. There is a version that comes complete with mounting kit and 10m cable, but I suspect the cable supplied with that might not be as good a quality as the cable you have already listed from Amazon.

If several of you are still not receiving any Freeview, I suggest EACH OF YOU (not just one on behalf of others) ring the Freeview Advice line and complain on 0808-100-0288.

There is planned engineering at Sandy Heath this week with "Possible weak signal". If you are some distance from the transmitter or have a marginal aerial installation, that may mean you lose signal. Do not attempt to retune whilst you have no signal.

Without a postcode, can't be certain which transmitter might be being used (there isn't one in Eastbourne itself) but there is engineering works going on on a number of Meridian transmitters this week, which is the likely exp[explanation, but tell your Nan NOT to retune whilst this is going on, unless there is a specific on screen message to retune.

Firstly, I can't find any report of problems at the Sandy Heath transmitter, however note that there is planned engineering work at the transmitter this week with "Possible Weak Signal". Don't attempt to retune whilst you are not receiving the channels otherwise you may lose the tuning of all channels on the D3&4 multiplex, see Digital UK | Channel listings
Second, if this is a reception/interference issue, the other channels on the D3&4 multiplex should also be affected.
According to the mapping, large parts of Leighton Buzzard are not well covered by the Sandy Heath transmitter. If I were you I would check all your coax connectors and cable, remove/reinsert connectors making sure they are clean etc., also consider whether you have you made any changes to your installation, check that your aerial is still intact and pointing in the correct direction after recent high winds.
If you are still having issues please post on the Sandy Heath transmitter page Sandy Heath (Central Bedfordshire, England) Full Freeview transmitter | free and easy and we would need a postcode to offer any further constructive advice about reception. You can check the predicted reception at your location by putting your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker
