You should be addressing your comments towards Arqiva who operate the transmitters. However, as the problems seems to be due to weather conditions there is nothing anyone can do about it. If it were a transmitter fault, then everyone receiving from that source would be equally affected, but they are not so there is unlikely to be any transmitter fault to correct.
This website is entirely independent of all broadcasters.

Earl Thomson:
Those sort of problems are not due to any faults anywhere, but are mainly due to weather conditions. Patience is called for.

There are no reports of any problems with the Oxford transmitter. Enegineering work is not carried at at night either. So the problems must either be with your system or the effects of high pressure. Start by carefully checking all your aerial cables and connections. Unplug all coaxial plugs and sockets and then refit them. Then check whether your signals have returned. DO NOT RETUNE.

Mr Beck:
Check that your TV has tuned in to the correcrt channels for your preferred transmitter. We cannot tell which that is, out of the over 1100 available, as you have not give a full post code.
Why did you 'reset' your TV? There has not been any changes made to the operatiopn of Emley Moor, if that is your 'local' transmitter for some onths and it usually a bad idea to keep retuning when things are working correctly.

We need you to provide a full post code so we can see what the predicted reception is like at your location. However, from the descrip[tion you give of your accommodation is is jighly unlikely that you will get any reliable reception using the indoor aerial you have - unless you are close to the transmitter and it is visible from you windows (TV signals don't like travelling through walls or metal framed windows).
You only alternative is to use an internet connection to watch streamed services - as long as you have a sufficiently fast broadband service available in the apartment.
As you have no access tot he roof, and no permission to fit anything there, you cannot add either and aerial for Freeview or a dish for Freesat or Sky.

Why did you retune?
Please give a full post code so that we can look at the expected reception at your location.
If you are trying to use the Salisbury transmitter, it does not transmit COM4 on channel 25. It is no channel 29 from Salisbury. Look at Coverage Checker - Detailed View to see the channels in used by Salisbury and Rowridge.

Ask Arqiva direcrtly as they operate thew transmitters and will know what plans there are for any engineering work.

Thanks for that. It's what we contributors have been saying for several days now. As we cannot control the weather it is a natural phenomenon that nobodt can control or change, so patience is required until the weather pattern changes.

Christopher Luckhurst:
There are no reported faults at the Rowridge transmitter. However, there are many reports of the high pressure affecting television transmissions again. This happens regularly when there is high pressure around. As it is a well known and completely natural phenomenon there is nothing anyone can do about it. Just be patient and wait for the weather pattern to change.

There is no fault with the Mendip transmitter, I know that for certain as that's the transmitter I use.
Have you checked your aerial system? Check all the cables and connections. Unplug all coaxial plugs/sockets and refit.
Then check the signal strengths as shown on the manual tuning page of your TV, but DO NOT RETUNE. The ideal strengths should be between 60% and 85%. If they are stronger that may be the cause and you need to add an attenuator to reduce it.
